Scouts Study 'Brownie Magic' At Day Camp Scheduled In June BUSY 13 of the Brownie Girl Scouts work as busily as their namesakes preparing bags for their nosebag lunches when they go scouting soon.

NATURALLY NOT OFF KEY Small Girl Scouts will learn "Brownie Magic" when they study nature magic at Day Camp to be held at Hills and Hollows from June 12 until July 5. The Denton County Girl Scout Council is sponsoring the camp. Brownie Scouts will visit the camp only during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the aforementioned dates, Mrs. Antonio Garcia, day camp director, announced.

Brownies must be registered with Mrs. B. B. Brummett, 908 West Sycamore by June 1. The fee is S2 for Brownies, and, if there are any openings in the units, $4 for non Brownies ages 7 through 9.

Troop committees will provide each parent with a registration blank which must he turned in by noon June 1 to the troop committee member designated. Non-Brownies must register directly with Mrs. Brummett. Camp be held from 3:30 p.m. Singing, Playing Grade School Group 'Natural' Performers Its a Natural for the Off Keys -making music, that is.

A singing foursome, the Off Keys, an the Natural, and an emcee from Sam Houston School have not only entertained the grade school but have stopped before many adult audiences throughout this region. The Off Keys, John Richard Hall, Bobby Joe Steele, Clyde Elrod and Phillip Cole, are accompanied by nimble-fingered J'Ncvlyne Tuuiii- cliff, the Natural. Mrs. Hickey is the former Miss Loretla Smith, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. B. H. Smith of Prosper. She is home making teacher in the Sanger school.

Hickey is the son ol Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hickey of Denison. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white lengih crepe dress with white accessories. She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid.

Mrs. Victor Scott of DeLeoti was matron of honor. She was attired in a dress of aqua crepe. J. P.

Brodie, brothor-in-Iow of die bridegroom, was best man. Mrs. Hickey is a graduate of Prosper High School and of North Texas State College. Hickey is a graduate of Denison High School and North Texas State 'ollegc. jand and was drum' major of Sam Houston pep squad.

Directed and organized by Mrs. Lila Hollingsworth, fifth grade teacher, and Jack Stinebaugh, coach, the group was first organized two years ago. Since then soms of the students have changed. So the present group was reorganized in September, This year they have made 20 appearances, including two at McKinney Veterans Hospital, at a Krum Parent-Teacher Association meeting, in the Kiwanis Minstrel and on school and other local programs. Togged out in Gay Nineties style (he Off Keys and Natural- warble the new novelty number, "Sparrow In the Treetop." Then in swashbuckling sailor suits the group sings "One Of The Roving Kind." Their repertoire includes songs from the "good old days" to the very latest hit.

These students are an outstanding example of organization in Denton Public Schools. Other grade schools have choirs which appear on assemblies and local programs. Seven sixth 'grade students from Jefferson Davis School are the Music Makers. They are Michael Smith, Ernest Smith, Juanita Davidson, Wanda Joyce Davidson, Eula Bell Enlow, Lanora Cross and Joyce Meaders. Jefferson Davis filth graders also have a novelty group, Loveta Jones, Patricia Bickley and Bobby D.

Williams. Robert E. School has a group specializing in folk dancing. The Off Keys and Natural will make their final appearance of the year Wednesday at the Dallas Kiwanis Club meeting. Are they really Off Key? Naturally not.

Rainbow Girls To Meet Monday Initiation will be held at the Denton Assembly 112 Rainbow meeting Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the home of Mrs. W. B. King, 431 Sherman Drive.

The present slate of officers will preside the last time at this meeting, Sandra Kahn, worthy advisor, has announced. She urges all Rainbow girls to attend. Brownies will eat nosebag lunches in the dining room and relax or tell stories and play games in the living room. The girls will be in small units by themselves.

Units will desig the equipment needed for its activities and ttese will be furnished by the troop committee, Miss Mildred Solez, Denton Girl Scout executive director, has announced. A first aider or nurse will be on hand at all times and a telphone and car will he available. The water and sanitation are approved by the City Health Department, Miss Solez assured.
