In an address to the Democrats of Sunflower ounty and published in the Sunflower Pensee, 'State Senator W. B. Martin says in part "Col. Money has served in Congress, either as repiesentative or senator, almost continuously for nearly thirty years, yet, strange to say, he is a man almost absolutely without a record. That is, during this long period, it; is a most appalling fact that he has done nothing worthy of notice for his State or county.

It is a singular fact and there is not a single person who reads this article who has not noticed it and does not know it is true, that since the opening of this campaign neither Col. tOfrViBERUyN-PATTERSON 1 UUR LEADING SPECIALTIES single thing which the Senator has ever done lor his State or county, for which he is entitled to credit. In fact, they have never been able to -show that he has done anything. is true tht occasionally one of the 'Senator's supporters makes reference vto his great learning, and urges that as a reason why he should be returned to the Senate, but of what, benefit is the senator's extraordinary learning to the people of this State, if he dees TBate any more use cf it in the. future than be has in the past, He might have the wisdom of Sclomon and continue to use it as he has in the past, and he would do us no earthly good whatever. It takes more than wisdom to make a good officer.

The Senator has absolutsly no State record; that he has done nothing whatever for the State, and as for a national record about the only tthing that he has ever done which attracted attention, and I mean something he Hnnfi in the Senate, and not else CO Shoe Sellers.
