SHELTON-MOSS Gary Dale Shelton, 46, Salix, Iowa, and Linda Weather Harry "Tiger" Bums, 82, who worked as a Tribune printer for nearly 50 years, died Tuesday morning in Salem, where he had resided for the past four years. Born in Butte, Burns first home in Great Falls was the Cascade County Jail, where his mother worked as a matron.

He began working as an apprentice printer at the Great Falls Leader on June 6, 1921. He worked for some time in Spokane, Butte and Anaconda before returning to Great Falls, and at the of his retirement in 1972 had been employed by the Tribune for 47 straight years. He was a life member of the Elks and a longtime member of the Elks Drum and Bugle Corps, and had been an officer in the Great Falls Typographical Union. Bums was married to Juanita Penland in Great Falls in 1933. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Beverly Crowley of Salem; a son, Tom Burns of Yakima, and four grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. today in Salem. Cremation has taken place. Wallace Strane Wallace W. Strane, 86, died Monday in the Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital near Helena.

Strane was born at Zeingle, Iowa. A veteran of World War he was married to the former Venna Zbin-den, who is a former resident of Great Falls. The couple lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, Spokane and Seattle, San Francisco and Menlo Park, Calif, and Boise, Idaho, during his career as an accountant for Shell Oil Co. His wife survives with a son, Robert Strane of Pittsburgh, and two stepchildren, Joyce Knowles and John Zbinden, both of Great Falls. James R.

Radack, 28, 517 5th Ave. fined $100 contempt of court for failure to pay $700 in fines from convictions for possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing a peace officer and assault. Also pleaded guilty to failure to carry registration, no driver's license, driving without proper equipment and no vehicle insurance; fined $100. Dean W. Ekblad.

Rick L. Hinkle, 26, 1408 11th St. NW, pleaded guilty to domestic abuse for hitting Debra Hinkle and throwing her across a room, disorderly conduct for yelling obscenities from his sidewalk, obstructing a peace officer and misdemeanor assault for hitting police officer in face with wallet. Evenson, 20, 501 5th Ave. S. No. 2, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol, second offense. Citations for operating vehicle with expired driver's license, failure to carry registration and operating vehicle without proof of liability insurance were dismissed because proof was shown.

Fined $400 for DUI and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with all but seven days suspended on condition he pay fine on time, complete DUI school, surrender driver's license, not use alcohol, not go in bars and have no traffic or alcohol offenses for 180 days. LeRoy Yeager, 43, Rural Route 1532, sentenced to one day jail and fined $100 contempt of court for failure to serve one day jail on a previous contempt of court conviction for failure to pay $500 fine. A Tribune story last week incorrectly named an organization working to finance construction of a monumental statue of Jesus Christ in Cut Bank.

The name of the organization is the International Peace Committee. A Tribune obituary Friday incorrectly identified Kelly Lee Wilkins, infant son of Darlene J. Wilkins and Robert L. Stark, 718 7th Ave. as a girl.

The child, who died July 2, was a boy. Information provided the Tribune Tuesday for an obituary for Albert Davey, 83, 1501 9th Ave. incorrectly identified the surviving daughter as Janet L. De Ambrosio. Her name is correctly spelled Janet L.

The commission would confirm or reject appointments by the executive. An advisory board would be created to advise the county commission on policy concerns and give the county commission feedback on its actions.

Two people from each of the county's five districts would be elected to the advisory board for two-year terms, but would not be paid. Taxes would be limited to their present amount. The mill levy on real and personal property may be increased only by an affirmative vote of a simple majority of those voting on such an issue. "No new taxes may be imposed without an affirmative vote of the majority" of voters, the charter states. The charter could be am-mended by a commission resolution or by initiative petition signed by at least 15 percent of the qualified county electors.

He died in 1944. She married Roy A. Wilson in 1944. They were divorced. Survivors include five sons, Lawrence Fisk of Havre, Clifford Wilson of Helena, Wallace Wilson of Havre, Maurice Wilson of Miles City and Lloyd Wilson of Havre; six daughters, Viola Fisk of Fairbanks, Alaska, Barbara Johnson of Havre, Evelyn Gilead of Havre, Juanita Schweitzer of Spokane, Phyllis Brough of Havre, Florence Wahlen of Havre; 30 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

FORT BELKNAP ELL, Sam, 50, died at his residence in Harlem on Monday of natural causes. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Belknap; burial in the Hiway Cemetery. Rosary will be 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ditmar residence.

Born at Fort Belknap. He attended schools in Harlem. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and worked on farms and ranches in the Harlem area. Survivors: sisters Louise Ell of Harlem and Salina Ditmar of Fort Belknap. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge of arrangements.

CHINOOK ALLMAN, Harry, 87, died Tuesday at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation has taken place. Remains will be interred in the Kuper Memorial Cemetery.

Raised and educated at Winnipeg, Manitoba. Married Clara Olson in 1935. They moved to Chinook in 1937. He owned and operated Allman's Refrigeration and Harry's Cafe for many years, retiring in 1979. Survived by his wife; sons, Harry of Seward, Alaska, John and Tom of Madison, daughters, Barbara Donohue of Shelby, Colleen Reel and Carol Fleury, both of Woodland, brother, George Ullman of Helena; sisters, Mary Pettapiece and Eva Ullman, both of Victoria, B.C., Phyllis Beach of Morehead, and Millie Hector, Alexandria, 11 grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

LIBBY MALONEY, Betty, 69, died Monday at her home of natural causes. Service 2 p.m. Thursday at the Vial Funeral Home; burial, Libby Cemetery. Born in Seattle, she lived for 28 years in San Diego. In 1964, she moved to Libby, then later to White-fish.

She returned to Libby in 1977. Survivors: husband, Henry of Libby; son, John Berkheimer of Libby; stepson, Joe Maloney of Columbia Falls; stepdaughter, Henrietta Marie Crook of Gillette, Wyo; and eight grandchildren. Corrections The restrooms in the warming house at Gibson Park are operated by the city of Great Falls. A news story in Monday's Tribune incorrectly indicated that a robbery that occurred in the restrooms had happened at McDuck's Restaurant rest-rooms. McDuck's leases its restaurant space in the warming house Study duties previously handled by other county departments.

The CEO's starting salary would be $36,000 per year. Five part-time commissioners would be elected to four-year terms to replace the current three full-time commissioners, who serve six-year terms. The commission "shall have no power to direct any officer or employee subject to the direction and supervision of the Chief Executive Officer," the draft charter states. But the commission would specify the duties and responsibilities of each county department head, other than the CEO. Each commissioner would be paid a starting salary of $6,000 per year.

Each ordinance passed by the commission would be presented to the CEO. If approved, the CEO would sign the ordinance and it would become law. If not approved, the ordinance would be vetoed and returned to the commission. If the ordinance receives affirmative votes from four commissioners, it would Tax. services are simply too costly to justify, Johnson said.
