14 Kokomo (Ind.) Tribune Sunday, May 10, 1981 Weddings Mrs. James Garber Former Donna Slabaugh Garber-Slabaugh Donna Sue Slabaugh and James Stephen Garber were married at p.m. Saturday in Main Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles W. Cook officiating at the candlelight ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur F. Slabaugh, 1041 S. Webster St.

She was graduated from Kokomo High School in 1973 and attended Indiana University- Kokomo. She is employed by Union Bank Trust Co. and Moore's Rexall Drugstore. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Vern D. Garber, Peru R.R. 5, is a 1972 graduate of Maconaquah High School. He is employed by Wiese Oldsmobile CMC Inc. Beth Dalton, Covington, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Debbie Sizelove, Carolyn Wolf and Diane Shearer. Vanessa Garber was flower girl. Nick Comerford, Bunker Hill, was best man and groomsmen were Jeff Garber, David Betzner and Kenneth Baker. Ushering were Jason Garber and Joe Slabaugh, and Brad Slabaugh carried the rings. They will take a wedding trip to Kiawah Island, S.C., and will reside in Kokomo.

Clary-McFadden Main Street United Methodist Church was the setting for the 3:30 p.m. Saturday wedding of Mary Elizabeth McFadden and Scott Dean Clary. The Rev. Charles Cook officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by Roger VanMeter, is the daughter of Mrs.

Roger VanMeter, 2708 W. Judson Road, and the late Edward B. McFadden. She is a 1980 graduate of Kokomo High School. The bridegroom, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Clarence Clary, 1218 N. Burk was graduated from Kokomo High School in 1980 and is employed by Cabot Corp. Patricia Ann McFadden was honor attendant for the bride. Kathy Clary was bridesmaid and Melissa Gamblin was flower girl.

Mark Clary, Noblesville, was best man and Jay, Phillips was groomsman. Tim Rivers and Dave Porter seated guests and Courtney French was ring bearer. The couple will live in Kokomo after their honeymoon in Daytona Beach, Fla. Mrs. Michael Cadwallader Former Sherry Salinas Cadwallader-Salinas The Rev.

Allen Welborn officiated at the 6:30 p.m. Friday wedding of Sherry Alise Salinas and Michael Kent Cadwallader in Indian Heights Baptist Church. The bride, given in marriage by her son, Robert Keith Salinas, is the daughter of Dolloras M. Brady, 1410 N. Philips and the late Floyd S.

Brady. She is a 1969 graduate of Taylor High School and is a secretary. The bridegroom is the son of Carol Miller and Charles Cadwallader, both of Peru. A 1972 graduate of Peru High School, he is a union carpenter and owner of Cadwallader Sound Associates. Attending the couple were Valerie Cover and Ron Lowe, Denver.

Flower girl was Lisa M. Salinas, and seating the guests were Lori Birdsong, Carol Birdsong and Elaine Brady. Following a wedding trip to Florida and the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Kokomo. Huges-Dungan Elizabeth Ann Dungan became the bride of Randy Dale Hughes Saturday afternoon in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Walter Ungerer officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dungan, 607 S. Dixon Road. She was graduated from Kokomo High School in 1977 and attends Indiana University- Purdue University at Indianapolis.

She is employed by Marsh Supermarket, Indianapolis. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira B. Hughes, West Point, was graduated from West Point High School in 1973.

He is employed by Blue Lustre, Indianapolis. Patty Pickering, Indianapolis, was the bride's honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Julie Dungan and Laurie Schrader. Carmen Dungan was flower girl. Steve Dungan was best man and groomsmen were Bill Baker and Joe Dyer.

Billy Baker carried the rings. The newlyweds will live in Indi-' anapolis. Pyke-Smith Morning Star House of the Lord Brethren Church was the site of the 7 p.m. Thursday wedding of Michelle Diane Smith and George Lee Pyke. The Rev.

Greg Reed of- Mrs. George Pyke Former Michelle Smith ficiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Paul S. and Vivian D. Smith, 1143 Ruddell Drive.

She was graduated from Kokomo High School in 1977 and is employed by Scotty's Sandwich Junction. The bridegroom is the son of Maxine Pyke, 1108 S. Emery and the late George Oryille Pyke. He attended Haworth High School and is employed by Penn-Dixie Steel Corp. Lisa Weinfurter attended the bride.

Bridesmaids were Diana Cox, Georgetta Ryan and Melissa Dye. April Nelson was flower girl. Mark King was best man. Groomsmen were Greg King, Ralph Ryan and Doug York, and ushers were Rick Phillips and Terry Davis. Ryan Pratt carried the rings.

The couple will honeymoon in Florida and will reside in Kokomo. Mrs. James Driver Former Teresa Pyke Mrs. Randy Hughes Former Elizabeth Dungan Mrs. Robert Zahn Former Cathy Stroup Driver Pyke Teresa Ann Pyke and James Daryl Driver exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m.

Saturday in First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Paul Enoch officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

George Pyke, 900 S. Calumet St. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Driver, 1222E.FirminSt.

Attending the couple were Marieta Camp and Larry Pyke. Others in the wedding party were Tammy King, bridesmaid; Barbara Driver, junior bridesmaid; Shannon Closson, flower girl; Jeff Pyke and Frank Driver, groomsmen; Victor Camp and Kevin Pyke, ushers, and Travis Sears, ring bearer. Mrs. Driver, a 1978 graduate of Maconaquah High School, is employed by Kmart. Her husband was graduated from Haworth High School in 1980 and is assistant manager of Duff's Famous Smorgasbord.

The couple will live in Kokomo. McDonald-Goyins Mr. and Mrs. Paul McDonald are at home in Lawrence following their May 1 wedding and honeymoon trip to the Smokey Mountains. McDonald and the former Michele Marie Goyins recited their vows in St.

Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Melvin J. Bennett officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Scott Clary Former Mary McFadden Kenneth Goyins, Indianapolis, and Patricia Goyins, Kokomo.

She is a 1980 graduate of Haworth High School and is credit bureau operator at the Indianapolis Merchants Association. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Vernon Wingard, 2900 Apperson Way and Paul Destus McDonald Roscoe, 111. He attended Kokomo High School and World Harvest Bible College. He is a pressman at Quik Printing, Indianapolis.

Mrs. Fredrick King was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Carmella McDonald, Mrs. Charles Harmon and Bertha Miller. Sara Beth Kaye was flower girl.

Serving as best man was Jeffery Parrin, Michigan City. Groomsmen were Jeffery Weaver, David McDonald and Carl McDonald. Ushering guests were Mark Downs and Fred King and Jimmy Hunt was ring bearer. Rethlake-Beas Peggy Ann Beas and Mark David Rethlake recited their wedding vows at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in St.

Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Arthur A. Sego officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Joseph M. Beas, 1117 Green Acres Drive. She was graduated from Northwestern High" School in 1974 and attended Ball State University. She is employed by Delco Electronics Division.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon J. Rethlake, 1223 N. Morrison St.

He is a 1974 gradu- Mrs. Mark Rethlake Former Peggy Beas ate of Kokomo High School and is a lineman for Public Service of Indiana. Attending the bride'was Mary K. Coleman, Lafayette. Bridesmaids were Kristin M.

Beas, Becky S. Rethlake, Patty Rethlake, Teresa Kinney and Rita Martin. Best man was Thomas Rethlake. Groomsmen were Ed Rethlake, Mike Rethlake, John Rethlake, Kevin Kinney and John Martin and ushers were Marty Beas and Michael Beas. Margo Martin was flower girl and Doug Rethlake was ring bearer.

Following a wedding trip south, the couple will reside in Kokomo. Zahn-Stroup Mr. and Mrs. Robert Raymond Zahn are on a Carribean cruise following their Saturday afternoon wedding in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

The Rev. Melvin Bennett officiated. The bride, the former Cathy Jo Stroup, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W.

Stroup, Kempton R.R. 1. She was graduated from Tri-Central High School in 1972 and Ball State University in 1976. She is employed by Delco Electronics Division in the accounting department. The bridegroom is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. George R. Zahn, Indianapolis. He was graduated from Chartard High School in 1968, Purdue University in 1972 and received his master's degree from Purdue in 1980. He is maintenance Mrs.

Ronald Strange Former Rhonda Tatum general supervisor at Delco. Paula Brooking, Norman R.R. 1, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Colleen Stroup and Diane Toole, and flower girls were Maria Stroup and Erin Stroup. Steve Zahn, Indianapolis, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Gary Stroup and Martin Zahn, and James Stroup and Doug Stroup ushered. Kevin Toole was ring bearer. The couple will reside in Kokp- mo. Strange-Tatum Rhonda Lynn Tatum and Ronald Eugene Strange were married at 3 p.m. Saturday in East Side Church of God by the Rev.

Ray Freeman. The bride, given in marriage by Richard Tatum, is the Geraldine Tatum, 5708 Treaty Lane, and the late Eudale Tatum. She will graduate from Taylor High School this year. The bridegroom is the son of Afford Strange, 1721 Apperson Way, and Mary Henry, 1008 E. Gano St.

He was graduated from Haworgh High School in 1980 and is stock clerk at Whitacre's Market. Mary Strange was maid of honjjr and bridesmaids were Katrine Mullet and Debbie Freeman. Marie Miller was flower girl. Bryan Strange served as best man. Groomsmen were Arhle Freeman and Brian Powell and Marvin Tatum and David Freeman ushered.

and Mrs. Kenneth Owsley, 7103 W. Judson Road, will be honored with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. today in their home in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary. Owsley and the former Carolyn McLay were married May 12, 1956, in the parsonage of Calvary Baptist Church.

The Rev. J. McFarland Smith Their three children are Mark Owsley, Mrs. Greg (Cheryl) Bennett and Shelly Owsley, all of Kokomo. They have one grandchild.

Owsley is employed by Chrysler Corp. and Mrs. Owsley is a realtor. Phelps Mr. and Mrs.

Alden R. Phelps, 1237 N. Linsday will be guests at an open house in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 6 p.m. May 17 in the home of their son. Phelps and the former Margaret A.

Keagle were married May 16, 1931, in the Montpelier Methodist -N MlF. Mr. and Mrs.Alden Phelps parsonage with the Rev. John R. Steele officiating.

Their children are John Alden Phelps Indianapolis, Elizabeth Huskins and Carolyn Hightower, both of Kokomo. Phelps is retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Co. Moore Mr. and Mrs. Willard E.

Moore, 1927 S. Courtland will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary at 2 p.m. May 17 in First Congregational United Church of Christ. There will be musical programs at 2 and 3 p.m. Moore and the former Marybelle Harn were married May 21, 1931, in Versailles (Ohio) Christian Church.

The Rev. Don Fields officiated. The Moores have a daughter, Mariana Moore, Middletown, Ohio. Moore is a retired commercial artist and Mrs. Moore is a retired music teacher.

Cook Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cook, Sharpsville, will celebrate their Engagements Mr. and Mrs. Willard Moore Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Cook 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. May 17 in their home. Cook and the former Dailey Cook were married May 16, 1931, in Gideon, Mo. They are both retired.

Their four children are Harold Cook, Oakford; Mrs. M.L. (Virginia) Jones, Logansport; Mrs. Max (Jewel) Cox, Kokomo; and Mrs. Jerry (Alma) McMillin, Russiaville.

She was graduated from Lahser High School, Bloomfield Hills, in 1976, attended Ball State University, and now attends San Jacinto College in Houston. She is bookkeeper for Apostolos Sotiriades and certified public accountants.

The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Andreas, 2309 Burningtree. Lane. He was graduated from Haworth High School in 1975 and Ball State in 1980.

He is purchasing analyst for Shell Oil Houston. Rausch-Moss A wedding ceremony July 3 in St. Peter's. Catholic Church, Winamac, will unite in marriage Deborah Elizabeth Rausch and Mark Charles Moss. The bride-elect is the daughter of Casper Rausch, Winamac R.R.

4, and the late Frances Rausch. Former Kokomo residents, Hershel and Mary Ellen Moss, Burnettsville R.R. 1, are parents of the bridegroom-to-be. Miss Rausch was graduated from Winamac High School in 1971 and from Ball State University in 1975. She is employed by Exide Corp.
