In the early sixties, she was one of the original Ikettes with The Ike and Tina Turner Revue. Later, she joined an exciting song-writing team known as Ashford, Simpson and Armstead which gave us such hits as the Ray Charles recording of "Let's Go Get Stoned." Woods was nominated by her teacher Sandra Rutland and will appear in the United States Achievement Academy's Official Yearbook published nationally. She is the daughter of Mike Woods und the granddaughter of Robert and Betty Woods, all of Benton.
