Nancy Newman, chairman, plans' will be set in motion for'the balance of the spring season and a membership drive will be launched in the Van Nuys business district.

All women executives and employes of the area are eligible for affiliation and are being invited to attend with their Chamber of Com-, merce employers, Miss Newman said. OLOF JOHNSON Represents Valley in the tearoom with Mrs. Robert G- Graw, vice chairman of the Conference Committee, serving as hostess. The afternoon session will include a question and answer period plus a discussion of plans for the 1968 national convention. Purpose of the conference Is to bring chapter presidents up to date on National Assistance a procedure, review expansion activities and discuss solutions for problems which have arisen during the rapid growth of the National Assistance League.

Delegates to the Presidents' Conference represent a national membership of 10,000 women of all ages. Their work is carried out by means of major and special philanthropic projects chosen independently by each of the 42 chapters to fit the needs of their communities.
