9) at an area convalescent home. Born in Bally-more, County Westmeath, Ireland, she had lived in Hartford for many years, prior to moving to West Hartford. She had been employed by the St. Joseph Cathedral Rectory for several years before her retirement. She was a commu-' nicant of St.

Peter Claver Church, West Hartford. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick J. and Marjorie Johnson of West Hartford; a daughter, Mary E. Finnegan of East Hartford; five sisters, Beatrice Doran of West Hartford, Ann Sheehan of West Hartford, Lillian Cavanaugh of Wethersfield, Marcella Johnson of West Hartford, and Margaret Driscoll of Farmington; two grandsons, Nicholas M. Johnson and Nathaniel J.

Johnson, both of West Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral procession will be Wednesday, 9:15 a.m., from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., at St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant West Hartford. Willson O'CONNOR. Mr. Thomas K. O'Connor, of 52 Keene Place, Unionville, husband of Mrs. Mary Ellen (Stack) O'Connor, died suddenly Friday (Nov.

8) at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. He was born in Lough South, Doolin, County Clare, Ireland, son of the late Thomas and Nora (Droney) O'Connor. Prior to retiring In 1984, Mr. O'Connor was employed at the Wiremold West Hartford, for 32 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mr.

Thomas K. andLanl O'Connor Jr. of Bristol; his son, Mr. John J. O'Connor of Unionville; a daughter, Maura E.

O'Connor of Saco, Maine' a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Margaret and John DeMeo of Farmington; three brothers, Patrick O'Connor of Ireland, David O'Connor of East Hartford, and John O'Connor of England; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret O'Connor, and Mrs. Katherine O'Donneli, both of Hartford, and Sister Mary of St. John Bosco, Ireland; his four grandsons, Thomas and Benjamin O'Connor, John and Nicholas DeMeo; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Mr. Larry O'Connor; and his sister, Mrs. Nancy Duggan. Ouellette, 66, of 369 Coe Meriden, died Friday (Nov. 8, 1991) at Veteran's Memorial Medical Center, Meriden. He was the husband of Elise (Berube) Ouellette. Born in St. Francis, Maine, Nov.

23, 1924, he was a son of the late William and Neacy (Dube) Ouellette, and was a Meriden resident for 26 years. He was a retired employee of the Insilco Corp. in Meriden, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a parishioner of Holy Angels Church in South Meriden. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs.

David (Donna) Grade and Mrs. Mark (Do-reen) Clavet, both of Meriden, Mrs. Ronald (Darlene) Haggerty of Long Island, N.Y., and Mrs. John (Debra) Beardsley of South Meriden; four sons, Bernard J. Berube of Plainville, Dwaine A.

Ouellette of Dudley, Dale R. Ouellette and Dana P. Ouellette, both of Meriden; a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Patricia) Taggett of St. Francis, Maine; three brothers, Leonard Ouellette of Vernon, Aldeo Ouellette of Wallingford and Fernard Ouellette of St.

Francis, Maine; 23 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deanna Oakesand a grandson, Paul Ouellette. In band ot Ann Maioy, or Kocky mil, fought a courageous battle with cancer, only to lose on Friday, Nov. 8, 1991, while in the comforts of his home, with his loving and devoted wife, Ann, and his supportive, caring cousin, Betty Morris of Keystone Heights, by his side.

He was formerly of Ivor-tyton, and was born in Altha, Fla. He was predeceased by his father, Ervin Maloy and leaves three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Helen Maioy, James and Joyce Maloy and Curtiss and Rosemary Deane; a sister-in-law, Etta Mae Deane; his children from a previous marriage, Robert, Eric, Marvin, Jeffrey and Tammy; and he is also loved by his children from his present wife, Gail Henseley, Billieanne Whiting and Cindy Brescia. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving the U.S. Navy. Funeral service will be Thursday, at the Tom Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown, Fla.

John J. McCarthy, 89, of West Hartford, husband of the late Margaret (Costelloe) McCarthy, died Saturday, (November 9), at St. Francis Hospital Medical Center. Born in County Cork, Ireland, he lived in the Hartford area most of his life. He was a self-employed landscape-gardener for many years and was a communicant of St.

Brigid Church, West Hartford. He is survived by a son, Donald J. McCarthy, of Wethersfield; a daughter, Elizabeth Parker of Enfield; a sister, Molly Petersen of Pleasant Valley, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. Funeral will be Monday, 9:15 a.m., from the Shee-han-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain West Hartford, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St.

Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain West Hartford. MAYHEW. Edgar deNoailles May-hew, 78, of New London, died Wednesday (November 6), of a heart attack, at his home. He was the former director of the Lyman Allyn Museum and Professor of Art History at Connecticut College. He was a well-known lecturer and co-author of "A Documentary History of the American Interior' He was a respected member of numerous cultural organizations in Connecticut and around the country.

Mr. Mayhew is survived by his sister, Jane Mayhew of New London. Memorial service will be held at Harkness Chapel at Connecticut College on Thursday, November 14, at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Lyman Allyn Museum. MEEHAN. Joseph Walter Meehan, 77, of Lyons, died Friday (Nov. 8, 1991) at Edward Hines Veteran Hospital, Hines, III. He was born May 8, 1914, in Roseton, N.Y., and had lived in Detroit prior to moving to Lyons, III. 60 years ago.

He received his Master's dearee in Engineering from the University of Detroit. Mr. Meehan was employed as an engineer at General Motors prior to his retirement in 1976. He is survived by two sisters, Katherine Gilchrist of Farming-ton, and Elsie Gaffney of Port Ewin, N. and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be Wednesday, 10:15 a.m., from the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Canton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m., in St. Patrick's Church, Collinsville. Burial will be in Burlington Center Cemetery, Burlington. There will be no calling hours. MITCHELL.

Josephine Waltman Mitchell, 84, of Route 80, Killing-worth, died Friday (Nov. 8, 1991) at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George A. Mitchell. She was born in Bethlehem, March 14, 1907.

She was a member of the Killingworth Congregational Church and the Killingworth Library Association. She survived by a son, William G. Warner, of West Patterson, N.J.; a daughter, Jenny W. Loughlin, of Scituate, a stepson, George S. Mitchell of Bernardsville, N.J.; a sister, Jeannette Turner of Rockland, Maine; also survived by nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at the Killingworth Congreg-tional Church. The Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Clinton, in charge of arrangements. MONEYMAKER. Helen (Dem-bowski) Moneymaker, 71, of Whirling Dun, Collinsville, wife of the late J. Willard Moneymaker, died Saturday (Nov.

9, 1991) at Hartford Hospital. She was born July 31, 1920, in Simsbury, and had lived in New Britain, prior to mov- ing to Collinsville 25 years ago. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, and Lay Pastoral Care of Collinsville, the Cherry Brook Garden Club, Canton Historical Society and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She is survived by a son, John Moneymaker of Southington; three daughters, Linda Stein of Austin, Texas, Susan Diters of Collinsville, and Mary Ellen Moneymaker of Key West, nine grandchildren; and two great Grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Benjamin W. Tartaglia, of Shrewsbury; one daughter, Phyllis Lilly-man of Sherborn, five grandchildren, Benjamin W. William N. and Michael A. Tartaglia, Johannah and Christian Lilly-man; four great-grandchildren; One sister, Lena Struble; three brothers, Lawrence Cilurso and John Cilurso, all in New Jersey and Anthony Cilurso In Florida.

Edward Frank, Jr. 71, of 5 Dell Court, Wallingford, died Saturday, at his home. He was the husband of Eleanor F. (Dunn) Frank. Until his retirement, he was employed as an engineer with S.N.E.T.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Mcintosh; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Krieger. Funeral service will be Monday, 11 a.m., at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S.

Anna (Spudis) Galinski, 86, widow of William P. Galinski of 14 Rice Road, Broad Brook, died Friday (Nov. 8) at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was born in Windsor, and had lived there for many years, before moving to Broad Brook 27 years ago. She is survived by two sons, John Galinski of Broad Brook, and Edward Galinski of Enfield; a sister, Adella Radzivick in Canada; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windsor. There are no call-, ing hours. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Windsor, has charge of arrangements. GRANT.

John William Grant, 74, of Ripley Hill Road, Pleasant Valley, died Thursday, (Nov. 7) at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Rose (Marks) Grant. Born July 12, 1917, in New Hartford, he was the son of the late John William and Louise (Shepard) Grant. He grew up in New Hartford and attended local schools.

In 1947 he moved to Pleasant Valley where he and his wife owned and operated the General Store for about 10 years. From 1956 until retirement, he was an agricultural chemical salesman. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of New Hartford and a past member of the Bark-hamsted Board of Finance. He was a member of the finance committee of the Boy Scouts of America and the Barkhamsted Historical Society, and one of the founders of the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also appointed the Civil Defense Director during the 1955 Flood, was appointed to the Barkhamsted Jury Selection Committee in 1947, and was made chairman in 1972 until his death.

He also was a charter member of the Barkhamsted Lion's Club. Besides his wife Rose, Mr. Grant leaves two sons, John William Grant III, of Winsted and Michael M. Grant of Pelham, N.H.; a brother, Mr. James Grant of New Hartford; three sisters, Ms.

Ethel Grant of New Hartford, Mrs. Betty Onidi of Farmington and Mrs. Joan Zeitler of New Hartford; and five grandsons. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Grant of New Hartford. Funeral service will be Monday, 9:30 a.m., from the John J.

Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford, followed by The Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m., in Immaculate Conception Church, New Hartford. Everett Nathaniel Holt, 67, a resident of Somers for 16 years, died at home on Wednesday, (Nov. 6, 1991). Born in Lynn. Mass, Mr. Holt was a decorated Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Before his retirement in 1985, he was employed by Health-tex Inc. as a sales representative for 27 years. His wife of 29 years Shirley (Cleaver) Holt, predeceased him in 1981. He is survived by a son, Christopher Holt of Mercer, Maine; four daughters, Robin Knutzen of Bonney Lake, Wendy Knoeble of Atlanta, Pamela Patrick of South Windsor, and Elizabeth Hauser of Tarn-worth, N. and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m., in the Somers Congregational Church in Somers, Conn. Interment will be private at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the North Central Hospice, co VNCC, 26 Park, Vernon, Conn. 06066.

asse 70, of Alexan-ria, a retired 29 year veteran of military service, who served in the Connecticut Army National Guard for 25 of those years, died suddenly Monday (Oct. 21 at his home in Alexandria, Va. Mr. Lagasse entered the U.S. Army as an enlisted man in 1940, entered Officers Candidate School as an aviation cadet, and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1943 in the U.S.

Army Air Force. As a B-24 bombardier during World War II, his airplane was snot down over Hungary. He was a prisoner of war for a year until 1945. Shortly after his release he was promoted to First Lieutenant. Following the war, he joined the Connecticut Army National Guard and served as a full-time civil service employee.

During his years of military service, he was The administrative officer for the 43rd Division Headquarters, Hartford, and as the Guard's senior personnel officer. He is most remembered for his coordination of a major reduction in force within the Connecticut Guard which eliminated 192 full-time positions, while ensuring that each individual had the opportunity for continued employment elsewhere in the Guard. Upon retiring from military service in 1971, he joined the National Guard Bureau, Washington, D.C., as a civilian equal employment officer until his retirement from the bureau in 1978. His military decorations include the Medal of Merit, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European Theater Medal with two battle stars, American Defense Medal, World War II Victory Medal, ana prisoner of war Medal. Born in Bristol, Jan.

23, 1921, Mr. Lagasse is survived by his wife, Carol; his mother, Maude Lagasse of Bristol; daughter, Linda Ferris of Stamford; two sons, Harvey J. of Amissville, and Maj. Mark Connecticut National Guard, East Hartford; two brothers, Eugene of Chester, and Robert J. of Bristol; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The funeral was Friday, Oct. 25, in Fort Myer Chapel. His eulogy was prepared and presented by Lt. Gen. John B.

Conaway, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, Washington, D.C. Kenneth Ferris of Bristol, as soloist, sang "Amazing Burial was in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, with full military honors. LEDDY. Anna Leddy, 97, formerly of 68 Woodruff Hamden, died Friday (November 9), at the Ar-den House, Hamden, after a long illness. She was the widow of Vincent James Leddy.

She was born in Lowell, Mass. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Hamden and a member of the Army Navy Mother's Club, World War li. Mrs. Leddy was also very active in the Hamden Red Cross during World War II. She is survived by two sons, Chief V.

Paul Leddy, Ret. and Deputy Chief Francis J. Leddy, both of the Hamden Fire five grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial Tuesday, 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Hamden. Interment will be in St.

MASTRANGELO. Edward A. Mastrangelo, 95, of Wethersfield, husband of the late Carmela (Fanelli) Mastrangelo, died Saturday (Nov. 9) at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born in Foggia, Italy, and lived in the Hartford area most of his life. He retired from G.Fox Hartford, after several years service. He was a World War U.S. Army veteran. He Is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Faye and William Cormier of Wethersfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Dolores Mastrangelo of Miami, two grandchildren, Renee Cormier and Joseph Mastrangelo.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9 a.m., at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., at the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield. MORENA. Michellna (Russo) More-na, 67, of Hartford, wife of Frank Morena, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1991, at Mount Sinai Hospital. Born in Sassano, Province of Salerno, Italy, she lived in Hartford since 1959. Besides her husband.

she is survived by a daughter, Frances Morena D'Elia of Suf-field; a sister in Italy; and three grandchildren, Rocco, Franco and Paul D'Elia. The funeral is Tuesday, 8:15 a.m., from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian burial, 9 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, Hartford. Entombment will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.

She was born Dec. 8, 1891, in Vermont, where she lived all her life, until she retired to Florida 30 years ago. She came to Connecticut in 1970, and resided in the Manchester area. She was the wife of John C. Courtney, who passed away in 1974.

She is survived by her daughter, Winona C. Elrick of Manchester; her son, Carlton J. Courtney of Annapolis, five grandchildren including Nancy Bartle of Glastonbury; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral wiir be Monday, 2 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, St.

Albans, Vt. Calling hour will be Monday, 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. DeJOHN. Constance (DIGiovanni) DeJohn, 100, of 61 Willow Road, Rocky Hill, wife of the late Charles DeJohn, died Thursday (Nov.

7) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Pesca-ra, Italy, she lived in Rocky Hill for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. James Church, Rocky Hill, and a member of the St. James Women's Club, Stepney Senior Citizens Club, Rocky Hill, and was active for many years in the Democratic Party af the local, state, and national level.
