Shebovgan Press, Tuesdav, August 25, 1987 15 Obituaries Anthony E. Hoerth Anthony E. Hoerth, 72 of 1039 First Kiel, died Sunday morning at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton, after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 15, 1915, in Kloten (Calumet County), son of the late John and Mary (Schneider) Hoerth.

He attended Kloten Grade School. On Jan. 9, 1935, he married Irene Meier at St. Peter and Paul Ca Catholic Church, Kiel. She preceded him in death on Aug.

28, 1965. On Aug. 12, 1967, he married Gladys Puetz at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. He farmed most of his life in the Chilton area.

From 1966 to his retirement in 1980, he was employed at the Kohler Company, Kohler. Member of Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel; Third Degree member of Kiel Knights of Columbus; was a Fourth Degree member of Monsignor Philipp Dreis Assembly; and Kiel Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; nine daughters, Mrs. Arlene Gates of Kiel, Shirley Winkel of Sheboygan, Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Leitner of Waupun, Mrs.

Thomas (Romaine) Stecker of Oostburg, Mrs. Robert (Diana) Multer of Kohler, Mrs. Gerald (Antoinette) Meyer of Chilton, Mrs. Donald (Lois) Herzog, of Howards Grove, Mrs. William (Kristine) Brieger of Sheboygan, Mrs.

Anna Barbara Dorn, 101, who lived with her son-in-law, Wallace Joas at 118 Spring Chilton, died Monday night at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. She was born on Nov. 1, 1885 in Grafton, daughter of the late Claude and Anna Barbara (Becker) Schmidt. On Oct. 27, 1908, she was married to Ed Dorn at St.

Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton. She farmed with her husband until 1956. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton; the GUG Germainia Society; and the Christian Mothers Society. Survivors include a son-in-law, Wallace Joas of Chilton; one grandchild, Linda Ecker of Chilton; two great grandchildren, Michelle and Joseph Ecker of Chilton; and a brother, John of Chilton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, three sisters and one brother. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m., on Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton. The Rev. David Christel as celebrant.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the WietingSchneider Funeral Home, Chilton, from 2 to 6:30 p.m., on Thursday. Wilmer J. Daharsh Wilmer J. Daharsh, 77, of 423 Adams Sheboygan Falls, died at his home Monday morning.

28, 1908 in Merrill, WI. a son of the late Herman and Hulda Mahn Janke. His family came to Sheboygan when he was a child and he attended Sheboygan schools. On Feb. 24, 1934 he was united in marriage to Emilie.

Felde in Sheboygan. From 1945 to 1976 the couple lived in Ingleside, Ill. where Mr. Janke worked for the Fiat Allis Co. retiring in 1970.

In 1976 they moved back to Sheboygan and resided here for the past 12 years. Mr. Janke was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife Emilie, three sons, Herbert of Ingleside, Gerald of Spring Grove, Ill. and Jamie of Bedford, Texas, two daughters, Mrs.

Eligie (Jeanette) Bolin of Antioch, Ill. and Mrs. David (Judith) Page of Roswell, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one greatgreat-! -grandchild, and two brothers, AlJahnke Herman Janke, both of Sheboygan and one sister, Mrs. Anna Adams of Sheboygan. A memorial has been established in Mr.

Feld, age 84, formerly of 38 East Paine Street, Kiel, resident of Calumet Homestead, New ca Holstein the past six months, died Monday evening at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton after being a patient for the past 3 days. The former Leona Voigt was born on May 16, 1903, in the Town of Schleswig, the daughter of the late Theodore and Antonia Loos Voigt.

She attended elementary school in the Town of Schleswig, and on August 15, 1923 married Louis Feld in the Town of Schleswig. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1981. Mrs. Feld was a member of Trinity Luthern Church, Kiel. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-laws, James and Alice, Kiel, Gene and Marge, Grafton, one daughter, Mrs Jeanette Ragner, West Allis, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one brother Clinton Voigt, Beloit, two sisters.

A memorial has been established for Trinity Luthern Church. Michael James Block Michael James Block, 16, of Le- high Acres, Florida, died August 23 in Florida. He was born July 31, 1971 in West Bend. WI, the son of Ted and Joan Jacoby Block of Lehigh, (formerly of Random Lake). He attended St.

Mary's Catholic School in Random Lake and was a junior at Riverdale High School in Lehigh. Survivors include his parents, one sister Christine of Lehigh; his maternal grandmother Mildred Jacoby of Belgium; his paternal grandparents Ted and Grace Block of Random Lake, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by a grandfather John Jacoby. A Mass of Christian burial will. be celebrated at St.

Rhine Elkhart Lake, died Monday evening of an apparant heart attack. He was born November 21, 1917, in Burnett, Wisconsin, a son of the late Syrus and Florence Hoeft Gritzmacher.

He graduated from the Horicon High School in 1936. On October 28, 1939, he was married to Irma Schmidt, in Markesan, Wisconsin. The couple lived in South Milwaukee until 1945 where he had been employed at the Ladish Company in Cudahy. The couple moved to Elkhart Lake in 1945 where he became selfemployed as a welder and repairman. In 1969 he became manager of the Town of Rhine Inter community Incinerator and served until his retirement in 1981.

Mr. Gritzmacher had been a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, and served on the board of eldors of the church. He is currently a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart Lake, and had served as treasurer for many years. He was active in establishing the charter of Boy Scout Troop in Elkhart Lake, and was currently chairman of the scout committee.

He is a member of the Elkhart Lake Lions Club and a former trustee of the Village Board of Elkhart Lake. He also was a member of the Elkhart Lake Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Wayne, Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Gary (Betsy), Whitefish Bay; two daughers, Gail Kowalski, Walhalla, Michigan, and Karen Gritzmacher, Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, and one sister, Alice Gritzmacher, Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Funeral services for Mr.

Gritzmacher will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart Lake. The Rev. William Wurm, Pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Elkhart Lake.

Kenneth Krueger, 67, 1327 New Jersey who died Monday morning at Memorial Medical Center will be Wednesday 8 p.m. at the RammZiegler Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Siedenburg, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Garden Terrace Mausoleum.

Mr. Krueger was born Feb. 27, 1920, a son of the late Albert and Wilma Aschenbach Krueger. He attended Sheboygan High School graduating in 1938. On Oct.

11, 1941, he was united in marriage to Jean Fiege at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Mr. Krueger worked for 31 years for Lake to Lake Dairy as, a route supervisor until 1970. For 15 years his retirement he worked for Rodewald Buick, GMC Trucks, and Jeeps in sales in which he retired in 1985. For the last year he worked part-time as a cashier for the Park Save gas station.

Mr. Krueger was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was the President of Terry's Breakfast Club. He also was a member of the Sheboygan Stamp Club, and the local Audubon Society. Survivors include his wife Jean, two daughters, Mrs.

Richard (Lynne) Gmach of Sheboygan and Mrs. Richard (Penelope) Tetschlag of San Jose, California. Four grandchildren and one brother, Phillip, of Sheboygan. A memorial has been established in Mr. Krueger's name for Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

(AP) Actor Lorne Greene came through abdominal surgery for a perforated ulcer without complications, his spokewoman said. Greene, 72, was in intensive care at Saint John's Hospital on Monday, and was in fair condition, said spokeswoman Roxanne Lawrence. "There were no complications and he's conscious," she said. Greene, who starred as patriarch Ben Cartwright in television's "Bonanza, underwent surgery on Wednesday. It won't be known until later this week when he will be released, she said.

Bear Feasts On Caviar, Crab VAIL, Colo. (AP) Forget roots and berries. In this pricey resort town, even the bears snack on caviar and crab. In the last several weeks, black bears preparing for winter have been reported rummaging through garbage in search of easy meals. One stumbled on the garbage of Laura Luby, a waitress at the Vail golf course.

She had taken home a doggiebag of crab legs and caviar. She said she and her husband didn't care for the caviar and couldn't finish the crab, so most of the feast ended up in the trash. They woke up that night to sounds outside, and when Luby's husband investigated he came face to face with a black bear. The bear peered through a glass door at the Lubys and their terrified cat. It then ambled away, leaving a trail of crab legs.
