T. Jackson and he doubts if there will be a better exhibition of corn any where in the union this fall. Pumpkins weighing from 70 to 90 pounds, watermelons weighing 60, squashes still larger and other vegetables in proportion may be seen in these booths. The floral hall is running over with exhibits. Thompson says he has never in his life seen such an apple show as is now under that roof. A feature of the morning program was the exhibition of Burgess Son's string of Percheron stallions from Illinois. The swept the ring with blue ribbons and the grand stand raved'over the beautiful horse show. John Graves is the official starter for the races. John came all the way from Hobart, to see that the public gets a square deal on the race track and the crowd will be satisfied when it sees John Graves in the judges stand.
