In 1960 he began a career as a butcher trained by his father and worked side by side with his brothers at the family meat market. Earning journeymen status, Raymond began working at Hi-Low Foods until he was drafted in the Army where he served from 1963 to 1965 stationed at Fort Hamilton. After an honorable discharge he continued working as a butcher. Raymond is survived by his siblings, Kathryn (Richard) Griffin; Charles (Geri) Donnelly; and Bill (Donna) Donnelly as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Donnelly.

She was an avid reader, creative wordsmith and sharp Scrabble opponent. She was a great and welcome traveling companion who loved family vacations, especially driving to Florida. She also enjoyed relaxing in her re-cliner and sitting on her front porch.

When faced with life's challenges, she fought them with a brave and stoic spirit. Gwen's passing has left a void in the lives of family and friends; they remember her as loyal and loving; a generous and giving friend, special neighbor, warm-hearted aunt, trusted confidante. She was a good listener who was a steady and calming influence; she was insightful about things. Gwen was also good-humored, funny and could "crack you up." Gwen was an alumna of William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri, where an endowed scholarship fund has been established in her honor.
