Pilot's Rites Friday In Butte BUTTE (AP) A funeral service will be Friday for Bert Mooney, a former chief pilot for Western Airlines who died Tuesday atfer a long illness. He was 71. Mooney was a pioneer pilot in state aviation circles. He was a former chief pilot for Inland Airlines, forerunner of a merged company involving National Parks Airways and Western.

Mooney was born in Billings and took his first flight lessons in 1919 while attending Los Angeles Military Academy. Mooney was the first pilot to deliver an air-mail pouch into West Yellowstone. His flight was before a runway had been built in the town. Survivors include the widow. Johannah, and four sons, Albert S.

Mooney Ill, Denver; Jay M. Mooney, Los Angeles; William D. Mooney Minneapolis, and Brien Mooney, Chicago. Mooney was a member and chairman of the Silver Bow County Airport Commission since it was reorganized. Funeral services were scheduled for Friday in Butte with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Judge to Enter Governor Race Officially Today Tribune Capitol Bureau HELENA Lt. Gov. Tom Judge says he will file his nominating petition for the Democratic gubernatorial race today. He will become the third Democratic candidate to file, although he was the first to announce his intentions, having done so on the heels of Gov. Anderson's announcement that he would not seek re-election.

Other Democratic candidates are David Burnham of Missoula and Dick Dzivi of Great Falls. Republican candidates so far are Rep.
