He is a member of the Central and Executive committees of the World Council of Churches.

He completed his theological studies in 1932 at the University of Oslo and worked as a pastor for the Norwegian Seamen's Mission whichv he served as general secretary from 1954 to 1958. During World War II the Norwegian church leader was a pastor in Bergen. In 1957 he earned his doctorate and became bishop of Agder. Olaf G. Malmin, director of the Augustana Choir, as its leader. Accompaniment will be by a brass instrumental group organized by Dr. Harold Krueger, professor of music and conductor of the Augustana Brasswind Choir. The Sioux Falls event is one of 16 such services planned during this month as part of the yearlong observance of the 150th anniversary of the landing of the first group of Norwegian immigrants in New York on Oct.

Marvin L. Balk, 609 N. Prairie and Sanford O. Sorlye, 4505 W. 12th were scheduled for Nov.

13 and Nov. 14 preliminary hearings, respectively, on separate charges of driving while intoxicated. Thomas M. Sorum, Renner, pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless driving after the charge was reduced from driving while intoxicated. He was fined $150.

John A. Bishop, 309 W. 40th entered a plea of guilty on the charges of reckless driving and driving while intoxicated. The cases were passed to Oct. 23 for sentencing.

A charge of attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle was dismissed. Gerald Smithlin, Rt. 3, was found guilty of assault and battery upon Shirley Smithlin. A 20-day jail sentence was suspended on his making and keeping an appointment at Problems in Living Center and continuing for a period of not to exceed six The bishop of Oslo and primate of the Church of Norway will visit Sioux Falls Oct. 19.

The Rt. Rev. Kaare Stoylen will be guest speaker at an area festival worship service at 7 p.m. at the Coliseum in commemoration of the Norwegian-American 1975 Sesquicentennial. The service will be jointly conducted by Dr.

E. O. son, Sioux Falls, bishop of the South Dakota District of the American Lutheran Church, and Dr. Edward Hansen, Willmar, bishop of the Southwestern Minnesota district of the ALC. h'.

Circuit Court Donald 0. Gulbrandson, 419 S. Garfield pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was sentenced by Judge R. J. Patterson to 30 days in jail, fined $250 and ordered not jto drive for 30 days.

The jail sentence was suspended a year's good behavior and attendance at two DWI school sessions. Default' judgments have been entered against Pon Isburg, doing business as Don Isburg Construction awarding $2,063 to Viking Glass and $8,519 to VG Industries, doing business as Viking Glass of Mitchell. The judgments were awarded for materials and the unpaid balance on materials, respectively. Graham Tire Co. was awarded $2,318 in a judgment against Roger G.

He is Dr. Harold Harrison, emeritus professor of pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School jf Medicine, Baltimore, Md. He will be a visiting professor at the School of Medicine Oct. 27 through Nov. 8.

Dr. Thomas Aceto USD professor and chairman of pediatrics, said Dr. Harrison and his wife, Dr. Helen C. Harrison, Ph.D., have been invited but that Harrison will De able to come to South Dakota.

She is a physiologist and John Hopkins associate professor of pediatrics. Dr. Harold Harrison, Dr. Aceton said, is best known for his research in kidney and intestinal transport of nutrients and electrolyte and water balance. He is particularly noted for his findings on factors which control transport of calcium and phosphorus across the intestinal wall and for the effect of vitamin on calcium and parathyroid hormone action on bones.

He developed the conceptof renal hypophosphatemia as a cause: of lib r. S. vitamin D-resistant rickets. Dr. Harrison will conduct grand rounds at the USD associated hospitals in Sioux Falls and Yankton.

He will present lectures and seminars, consult with students, faculty and practicing physicians. The team or Dr. Harold Harrison if his wife is unable to visit South Dakota will work with Dr. Aceto in developing the department of pediatrics as the USD School of Medicine evolves into a four-year MD degree-granting medical school, Dr. Aceto said Fantle's Downtown 9:30 to Mon.
