They came from Germany where Mr. Sewert wai born on Dec. 18, 1824 to America In 1850. Came west to near Waukesha where they lived for three year, then to the farm 'here on March 19, 1853, living on the farm until 1900. The Swert place, on the old Sparta road, in town of Waahtngton.

Ore. There are eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. When Mr. and Mrs. Sewert came here there was hardly any Eau Claire.

The number of disabled soldiers sent to the university for re-education has increased to 13. One Is specializing in dairy farming and animal husbandry, one in food Inspection, one in dairying, and one in sanitary engineering.
