Born July 17, 1942 in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late Earl and Josephine (Weingart) Fett, Sr.

JoAnn was a graduate of St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing, Chicago, IL. She went on to obtain her BS and MS in Nursing from NIU, DeKalb, IL. JoAnn spent her entire career in the health care field. She worked as a charge nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital, instructor at the RMH School of Nursing and as Adjunct Professor at Rockford College.

Upon relocation to NH, she continued teaching as a Professor of Nursing at NH Technical College and University of New Hampshire. JoAnn also worked as Director of QA for the VNA of Southern NH and Assistant Director at the NH Board of Nursing. She continued working to retirement as a nurse with Core Physicians in Exeter, NH. She is survived by her husband Malcolm; son, Phillip (Carrie) Allison; daughter, Pam (Micah) Raynowska; five grandchildren, all of Brentwood, NH and brother Earl (Pat) Fett of Rockford, IL. There are no calling hours or services, instead a gathering of close friends and family will be held at a later date.

Mr. Allen came to North Central in 1957after serving on the music faculty at nearby Wheaton College. He assembled the North Central Concert Choir, which grew to include more than 100 students and toured the U.S. and Canada, performing for as many as 17,000 people a year. In the 1960s, North Concert Choir performed at Orchestra Hall, home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Allen left the Naperville school in 1971when the music program was folded for financial reasons. North Central revived the music program in 1987. left a great says Martinez, a North Central music professor and Naperville Chorus director. just rave about him.

The repertoire included works of the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary periods as well as Christian hymns and spirituals.

PAUL WARREN ALLEN 1913-2010 North Central ex-head of music, choir Paul Warren Allen began teaching at North Central College in the late By Margaret Ramirez TRIBUNE REPORTER Teresa Scanlan Trompeterhad a plum job with a popular radio show in Chicago during the late 1940s and early 1950s that put her in touch with some of the most famous people of the era. The show was called Elson on the and its premise was simple: Legendary Chicago sports broadcasterElsonwould intercept celebrities at the LaSalle Street train station on a layover en route to California for spontaneous interviews as they disembarked from the 20th Century Limited, the luxury express train that traveled from New York to Chicago.
