It is with a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Stanley C. Douglass. Stanley is survived by a brother, Clell W. Douglass of Muncie, IN and a sister, Inez D. Pratt of Ze-phyrhills, FL.

along with nieces and nephews as well as many friends throughout the world. Stanley was also predeceased by one brother Roy E. Douglass of Muncie, IN and a sister, Mrs. Francis P. Justice of Tampa, FL.

Stan retired fo Ft. Lauderdale, FL from the State Department In 1978 after serving many assignments at US Embassies throughout the world. He began his career as Diplomatic Courier In the early 1950 and held positions as Vice Consul of the United States of America, General Services Officer, as well as other positions throughout his career with the US State Dept. Stanley was also a past Vice President of the Diplomatic Courier Association. He began his next great adventure early Friday morning December 30, 1994.

In keeping with Stan's wishes there will be no services, only cremation and his ashes are to be scattered at sea. In addition, Stan would also want us to thank Hospice, for the care and comfort they provided In such a personal and professional manner. If anyone wishes to make a memorial contribution in Stan's name he would be proud to have you make it to your local Hospice andor the American Cancer Society. MERVOS Nicholas, Jr. 75 of Deerfield Beach, FL died January 18, 1995. Mr. Mervos moved to Deerfield Beach in 1979 from Mo Keesport, PA. Mr.

Mervos was a member of Zion Lutheran Church In Deerfield Br.ich, FL. Mr. Mervos served in the Army Air Force during WW II in the Pacific Theater, member and past-president of the Deerfield Beach Country Club, President of ATAE International, communication expert and enjoyed a very distinguished career. Survived by wife, Fern Mervos, Deerfield Beach, FL; father, Nicholas Mervos, St; Cloud, FL; children, Robert Mervos, Lancaster, PA, Mary Jo Gibson, Ber-ryville, VA, Joy Galeza, Irwin, PA; sister, Natalie McNamara, St. Cloud, FL; and three grandchildren.

Gertrude Fogelson, sculptor The New York Times Gertrude Fogelson, a New York philanthropist and artist, died Sunday at her home in Palm Beach. She was 92 and also had a home in Manhattan.

The cause was heart failure, her family said. Mrs. Fogelson was honorary chairwoman and a longtime benefactor of the Jewish Museum in Manhattan. She was a trustee of the Joe and Emily Lowe Foundation in Palm Beach, which supports Jewish and other charitable causes. Thq foundation last reported assets of $21 million and expenditures of $1.45 million in 1992.

Mrs. Fogelson, was a sculptor whose work was in the collection of the Haifa Museum, among others. Louis Simon, of pop singer The New York Times Louis Simon, the father of pop singer Paul Simon, died on Tuesday at his home in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. He was 79. Mr.

Simon, who was born in Newark, N.J., was a professional musician who performed on television shows and in nightclubs from the 1930s through the '60s. Henry Coords, 79, The New York Times Henry Harrison Coords, former president of Fisher-Price toys, died from Crohn's disease Thursday at Jupiter Medical Cen- ter in Jupiter. He was 79. During Mr. Coords' 14-year tenure as president of Fisher-Price, he transformed the company into an industry leader as sales rose to more than $300 million in 1980 from $25 million in 1966.
