Sun-Sentinl, Friday, May 15, 1998 7B OBITUARIES MS Tilynn Frisby-Coleman, office worker marriage in her hometown of Providence, R.I. By BOB LaMENDOLA Staff Writer Gene Fowler, 80, Oscar winner Director of Was a Teen-age Werewolf, worked on more than 100 films, TV shows Woman, 30, lived in Lauderdale Lakes In addition to her sister, she is survived by her mother, Sandra A. A memorial service was held on Thursday at.

First Baptist Church at Piney Grove in Fort Lauderdale. A funeral will be held at Dell Funeral Home in Providence but a time has not been set. Burial will also take place in Providence. It seemed like just another weekday morning. Tilynn Frisby-Coleman went to her car on Tuesday to go to her job as an office worker.

But then a bad headache struck. The headache turned out to be a brain aneurysm severe enough that within hours it claimed the life of Mrs. Frisby-Coleman. She died at Florida Medical Center at age 30. "She was always the one who never got sick," said her sister, Regina Frisby of North Kingstown, R.I.

"She was just starting her life, really. She was so happy. She didn't have a care in the world." Mrs. Frisby-Coleman lived in Lauderdale Lakes with her husband of six years, John Coleman. They had moved here just after their Frank Ragano, 75, author, counsel to age werewolf in the film.

Mr. Fowler's Golden Globe for editing Wall of Fire he was also nominated an Oscar for editing It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World. His first feature, as editor, the 1943 Henry Fonda movie, The Ox-Bow Incident. On the small screen, he won Emmys for The Blue Glass House, The Waltons and Rawhide. Mr.

Fowler's father, also named Gene, was a longtime reporter with Hearst Newspapers who went on to work as a screenwriter and author several books chronicling the Hollywood of the 1930s, including Goodnight Sweet Prince, a best-selling biography of John Barrymore. His brother Will is a playwright and author. Gene Fowler is survived by wife, Marjorie, whom he taught to edit film and who later was nominated for an Oscar for Elmer Gantry. The couple had a son and a daughter, two grandchildren two great-grandchildren. Will said there would be no funeral service, but plans were being made for a memorial service.

The Associated Press TAMPA Frank Ragano, an attorney who defended gangland figures and wrote a book that claimed to link the mob to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, died peacefully in his sleep at age 75. Mr. Ragano's son found the body on Wednesday. Tampa police said death was from natural causes, and no foul play was suspected.

"He was gutsy," said Paul An-tinori, a Boston lawyer who once practiced law with Ragano in Tampa. "He was known for the courage he displayed in the courtroom. He never shied away from risky cases. He had a brilliant legal mind." Mr. Ragano long represented Santo Trafficante, the reputed Mafia boss of Florida who died in Tampa in 1987.

Services directed by: was and for Mad, was his and Times reporter Selwyn Raab, was published in 1994. In the 1960s and '70s, Mr. Ragano was wealthy and in demand. Besides reputed mobsters, his clients included celebrities such as Burt Reynolds, Liberace, Dinah Shore and Rocky Marciano. While Ragano labeled himself mob lawyer, he insisted he was not a mobster.

He sued Time magazine for libel after the magazine had published a photograph of alleged mob figures and identified him as a mobster. jury ruled against him in 1971. But Mob Lawyer brought him the most attention. It chronicled his 30 years of representing mob figures in court. In a most compelling chapter, Ragano recounts a drive he took down Bayshore Boulevard with Trafficante when, Mr.

Ragano said, Trafficante detailed the mob's role in the Kennedy assassination. Palm Beach, FL died May 13, t998. Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel, WPB. OUT OF AREA CORNICHUK Larry of Loxahatchee, FL died May 9, 1998. Kraeer Funeral Home, Boca Raton.
