"Whenever a hurricane enters the Gulf, we start preparing to shut the rig down," said Hamrick. "It takes time to shut a rig down, and to get the people back to land. "Usually, the rig is going to be fine. It is built to withstand 300 mile per hour winds. But you sure don't want to be out there during the storm." Another thing Hamrick really likes to do is spend his summers on Archusa.

Lake. He and his family have a lot on the water, and many a happy hour was spent skiing at Archusa. It won't be that way this summer since the dam broke in January. "I really think they have been dragging their feet on this," said Hamrick. "They have the money to fix the dam.

If they had gotten on it, we could have had the lake back by late summer. But now, it's going to be a year or two." Hamrick worked as a park ranger during the year Archusa first opened and knows his way around the lake. "They talk about the lake being shallow and that it is filling in," Hamrick said. 'I have a deep boat, and as long as I stay in the skiing area and the deeper park, I've never hit anything. "Now I hear them talking about doing engineering surveys and all that," Hamrick said.

"Where is the original survey that they used to build the lake? Why can't they use it. I think they should fix the hole and let's get on with it." Hamrick and his wife, Martha, have two sons, Christopher and Dustin. Sweet little baby girl, you had a rough entrance into this world. But God had His hand over you you see He knew what was ahead; what was meant to be. From the medical equipment hooked up to you, to the strength God gave you to pull you through, you fought the fight from the very beginning.

And now we can see who is doing the winning. We know He loves us each and everyone. For just this week 1 you celebrate year one. Happy Birthday Jordan We love you! Mommy, Daddy Big Brother.
