March A. 194711 Radio Station KXLK Starts Dismissal, Postponement Of Cases Clear Calendar Operating Here Wednesday Owner of KXLK is Great Falls Great Falls' new radio station, KXLK, will go on the air for the first time at neon Wednesday, K. O. MacPherson, manager, announced Monday.

KXLK will operate on 1400 kUo- Office Appointments Made by Assessor Appointments of W. W. Monroe as deputy county assessor and William D. Ryan as assessor clerk were filed with County Clerk Charles Regan by County Assessor W. J.

Burton. Monroe has been attached to the county treasurer's office for many years and was chief deputy for the last year. He concluded his services with this office Monday when J. R. Linnane succeeded Charles A.

Fox as treasurer. Ryan is a native of Great Falls and has been active in athletics. Jury term of the Cascade county district court opened Monday in the department of Judge H. H. Ewing with the calendar for the day being cleared without a jury.

Vidal of Helena are the directors. The directors and Pat Good-over of Butte and James V. Bennett of Scobey are stockholders. MacPherson, native of Wenatchee, has been in radio since 1930. After a short period with station KFQW in Seattle, he went to KGIR in Butte and later to KFXD at Nampa, Idaho.

MacPherson joined the staff of KXLF in Butte in December, 1936, and went to Helena in September, 1937, to manage KXLJ, where he has been since. He is married and has two children, a son and a daughter.
