Services were Monday, May 20, 1996, at Mims Mitchell Chapel with burial in Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee handled the arrangements. Dave Garner was a native of Magee. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Louella Garner of Magee; sons, Gerald Garner and Mack Garner, both of Magee; daughters, Doris Holder of Brandon, Donis Simmons and Dimple Nicholson, both of Jackson, Marilyn Russell of Clinton; sister, Emma Johnson of Magee; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Willene Tebo Lewis, retired school worker of Magee, died Saturday, May 18, 1996, of cancer in Moss Point. Services were Monday, May 20, 1996, at Colonial Chapel with burial in Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mize. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee handled the arrangements. Mrs.

LILLIAN GOWAN Lillian Gowan, 86, homemaker of Mendenhall, died Wednesday, May 15, 1996, of heart failure at Conva-Rest Nursing Home in Mendenhall. Services were 2 p.m., Friday, May 17, 1996, at Upton Funeral Home with burial in Merit Cemetery. Upton Funeral Home of Mendenhall handled the arrangements.

Mrs. Gowan was a native of Simpson County and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, L.R. "Red" Gowan; brother, Odis Thompson; 3 grandchildren, Rita McNair, Johnnie Rambo, Shelia Dilmore; and 6 great grandchildren.
