of Boca Raton, FL died Monday, September 9, 1991. Kraeer Boca Raton Funeral Home. KIRBY William Leslie, a pioneer dermatologist, died at Hospice by the Sea, Boca Raton on Monday, September 9, 1991 after a long illness. Dr. Klrby was born June 14, 1901 in Adolphus, KY to Elizabeth and Thomas Kirby.

He was educated at Hawkins Preparatory School, received his B.S. Degree from Cumberland University and his M.D. from Vanderbilt University Medical School. He Interned at Nashville General Hospital and specialized in dermatology at the New York Skin and Cancer Hospital. Dr.

Kirby practiced general medicine In Miami, FL In 1926. After specializing in dermatology, he located In Winston Salem, NC, where he practiced from 1929 to 1962. In 1962 he moved to Delray Beach, where he continued to practice until 1985. While In Winston Salem, In addition to his private practice, he was Associate Professor of Medicine In Clinical Dermatology at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forrest College. He also served as President of the Forsyth County Medical Society and N.C.

State Dermatology Society. He contributed several articles on dermatology to state and national journals. He was a member of the Palm Beach Medical Society, Florida Dermatology Society and the American Academy of Dermatology. He was also a member of A.O.A. Honorary Medical Fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Chi Fraternities.

He was a Rotarian and a member of the First Christian Church of Boca Raton. Dr. Klrby married Roberta Metcalfe, June 14, 1930 who survives him. Daughters surviving are Elizabeth Ann MacBrayer of Athens, GA, Katharine Hodges of Atlanta, GA and Margaret Anderson of Miami Lakes, FL; grandchildren are Elizabeth MacBrayer, Katherine Burnette and John Burnette. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Hospice by the Sea of First Christian Church of Boca Raton.

Louis, MO, Metuchen, NJ and Wayne, Ml. In January 1969 through June 1971 he was Plant Manager for the Halwood Assembly Plant outside Liverpool, England. Before retiring In 1971, he was sent by Ford's to Kinshasa, Zaire for 6 months. After retiring from Ford's to live In Tamarac, FL, Marvin joined the International Executive Service Corps where he donated his services as a volunteer to the 3rd World Countries to companies needing his expertise. Marvin and his wife, Jean lived for 3 months at a time in Istanbul, Turkey, Trujillo, Peru and Bombay, India.

Mr. Hughes Is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Mrs. Claudia Badick of Greensboro, NC and three grandchildren, Frank, Klmberley and Ryan Hughes of Okeechobee, FL. Services will be held 11 AM. Thursday at Faith United Church of Christ, 6201 N.W.

He was a member of the Ft. Lauderdale B.P.O.E. and was active in various civic and community affairs. He Is survived by his wife, Marlene; two daughters, Mrs. James L.
