Sheriff. For the first time in the history of Cascade county, unofficial election returns have been received from the precinct of Adel, 15. J. Munroe having sent them in yesterday. They show splendid Democratic majorities.

The full returns were also received from the Republican precinct of Gibson. There is an unconfirmed report that Xason pave Greene a plurality of 5 and Stephenson a plurality of 3. Conceding all that Stephenson and O'Leary claim for the few missing precincts, Leslie will surely have a plurality of at least 55 and Greene is absolutely sure of the same plurality. The official canvass will be required to determine between Wood and Travis and between Whitten and Mortson. The chances seem to be slightly in favor of Wood and Whitten, but it is possible there may be errors in the unofficial returns.

The Republicans claim Whitten anil Tiavis, but concede Leslie and Greene. 2071 1930 Hogan Moran Hogan's plurality will be 125 11 KAUFMAN'S County Treasurer. Roberts 2229 Pierse HOI Mr. Rolierts' plurality will be about 850. WILL BE RECTOR Clerk of the District Court.
