New Laundry Thirty-three years represents a mighty healthy span for a business in rapidly-growing Florida, and that is the length of time Ben E. Darby, head of Darby's 1 Hr. Cleaners Laundry, in the Colonial Plaza Shopping Center, has been engaged in the cleaning field. A native of Peace Valley, Florida, Mr. Darby, when interviewed said he had great faith in the future growth of Central Florida and I has backed this faith, not only by opening the Orlando store, but also by signing leases for additional units in the Pine Hills shopping center where present plans call for an April 1st opening and in the Eastgate shopping center in Winter Park.

Darby has gone even further by signing leases for opening 11 Darby new stores this year in Central and West Coast Florida, as well as in Jacksonville. The opening of the Plaza store marks an innovation in the laundry and dry-cleaning field. Darby's has pioneered in this direction in Central Florida by providing a one hour cleaning and laundry service whereby you can drop off the family wash, shirts, suits and apparel, go on about your shopping in the remainder of the center, return in an hour and pick up your finished work. This type of operation is now nation-wide in shopping centers. The manager, Robert R.

Berns, now residing at 517 W. Colonial Drive, plans to bring his wife Ann and their two children Patricia 18 and Robert 15, to Orlando from Corning, N.Y., his former home. Berns has had 25 years of laundry experience and is Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks, Croning Lodge No. 1071. Darby leads an active life even away from business.

He is a Blue Lodge Mason, Hillsboro Lodge 25, a Scottish Rite Mason, a Shriner, Lions Club member, director Tampa Institute of Cleaning and Laundry, director Tampa Boys' Club and is very active in Red Cross and Community Chest work. He attends the 1st Baptist Church of Tampa. Defendant Duped Judge Or Bus Man CHARLESTON, W. All the latest Wilkins Wilkins in retailing have been incorporated in the new building. The newest in store fluorescent lighting will highlight Grant's merchandise.

Every item will be displayed on "shop-at-aglance" counters for quick selection or leisurely inspection.
