Bascora, now of Vic-torville, was honored as a "Legendary Cowboy" at the Raymond Stampede in Raymond, Alberta, Canada; the Dinasaur Roundup Rodeo in Vernal Utah; and the San Bernardino County Fair Rodeo in California. In 1924, Bascom designed the one-handed bareback rigging which is now standard rodeo equipment in the United States, Canada and Australia. In 1935, Bascom stagged the first rodeo in Columbia at the city park.
