Rev. Buddy Braddock officiated. Mrs. Laird, 87, of Quitman, died March 21, 1995, at H.

C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Jerry Carmichael, Quitman; one grandchild and four great- -grandchildren. Lucille Christopher Land Services for Lucille Christopher Land were held on March 23, 1995, at Gilbertown United Methodist Church with burial in the Gilbertown Cemetery. Rev.

Larry Patrick, Rev. Reba Wylie, Rev. Walter Hughley and Rev. Morris Ingram officiated. Mrs.

Land, 81, died March 21, 1995, at Rush Foundation Hospital. Survivors include a husband, Alton G. "Buck" Land, Meridian; a daughter, Sandra Land Smith, Citronelle; a son, Alton G. "Al" Land, Meridian; son-in-law, Tommy G. Smith, Citronelle; daughter-in-law, Beth Green Land, Meridian; two sisters, Jesse Frank Phillips, Thomasville; and Doris Jones, Thomasville; two brothers, John Christopher, Tuscaloosa and James Christopher, Butler; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Raymond Gibson, Clayton Cobler, Marvin Merritt, Bud Kent, Gordon Rentz and David Moffett. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Kennedy, G. A. Gilbert, Norman Samuelson, Heyward Phillips, Haskel Whigham, William Utsey, Mac McClain, Jasper Adams, Gilmer Doggett, Pat Lindsey, Clatis Tew, Johnny Bryan, Benny Stevens, Bill, Bob and Howard Christopher, Chris Jones, David Phillips and Chris Lancaster. Robert Moore Davis Services for Robert Moore Davis were held March 24, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Enterprise Cemetery.

Dr. John Stevens and Rev. John Kramer officiated. Mr. Davis, 32, of Quitman, died March 23, 1995, at Riley's Hospital in Meridian.

Survivors include his father, Buddy Davis, Quitman; mother, Paula R. Davis, Quitman; three brothers, Keith Davis, Richard Davis and Scott Davis; three nieces and two nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Roy Graham Services for Roy Graham were held March 27, 1995, at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Antioch Cemetery. Rev.

Graham, Quitman; five daughters, Glenese Robinson, Stonewall; Pauline King, Stonewall; Irene Williamson, Quitman; Ocie Mae Haughton, Neddleton; Faye Graham, Meridian; a brother, Woodrow Graham, Meridian; a sister, Flora Harrison, Butler; 19 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren. Martin receives scholarship to UWA Kimberly Martin, a senior at Quitman High School, has been chosen to receive a Trustee Award from the University of West Alabama (formerly Livingston University) according to a recent announcement by the scholarship committee. The Trustee's Award, part of the scholarship program at the University of West Alabama, was awarded to Martin for her outstanding academic performance in high school and above average college entrance examination grades. The award is a four-year scholarship to the University of West Alabama. She is the daughter of James Martin of Stonewall and Renee Alsup of Meehan.

Martin plans to attend the University of West Alabama in the fall of 1995. Harry Wheat attends speciality training program in respiratory diseases Pharmacist Harry Wheat of Wheat Drug Company in Quitman, was among those attending the Specialty Training Program in Respiratory Diseases in Memphis, Tennessee, March 15 19, 1995. The program was presented by the American College of Apothecaries Pharmaceutical Care Institute. Pharmacists from across the United States and Canada spent more than forty hours in an intensive clinical education experience to prepare them to develop a specialty practice in respiratory therapy. Proceeds from the concession sales will go to support the Shriners in Clarke County and all across Mississippi. Picnic benches will be provided for everyone to enjoy. Pepsi Cola has been synonymous with great entertainment events for many years and is bringing this expertise to Mississippi Country Jam '95. Representatives of Pepsi will be on hand throughout the day with special surprises and giveaways as well as providing plenty of ice cold. Pepsi at the concession stands.

Lone Wolf Productions has commissioned a local artist to design Mississippi Country Jam '95 t-shirts and caps which will be on sale throughout the day. There will be supervised park- School Banquet. Kaye Dearman and Renee Hankins were the top two in Girl Scout cookie sales. Kaye was awarded a two weeks campship at Camp Meridale in Meridian and Renee won a one week campship at Meridale. Archusa Creek Water Park was named Park of the Month.
