Even the fair-haired girl should attend to this, for blond fuzz on the skin is noticeable, too. Some girls have the false notion that shaving will cause the hair to grow back thicker and darker in color.

It may appear to do so, but that is only because the stubby ends are more bristly to the touch than the fuller-grown hairs. You will never cut yourself when shaving if you follow these simple rules. Before you reach for your razor (and you should have your own, not Dad's, or big brother's) always make sure your legs are well-lathered. Be certain all the hair is damp and well-softened. Then, take your razor and shave against the grain, which means from the ankle up.

Hold and razor firmly and press very gently against the skin. Be especially gentle at the anklebone and shinbone, where the skin is close to the bone. Work slowly and shave the entire leg for a thorough job. When you've finished shaving, apply hand lotion to the legs and massage them gently. This will help keep them soft and smooth-looking, and will improve the skin tone as welL Jerry Spear hao.
