summer as at present arranged will consist of ten or eleven Cantabs and five or six Ox onians The team will be organized under the auspices of the Cambridge University Iaerosse club and is not to be regard ed' as an Oxford Cambridge team be cause the Cambridge club is twenty years old while the Oxford club is only in its first season and therefore could not accept challenges or arrange for such a tourX At the same time the first lacrosse match between tlie Oxford and Cam bridge clubs held recently demonstrat ed that the Oxonians were Justified in accompanying the Cantabs but not in taking a leading or equal part in the tour The tour itself in fact is re garded rather in the light of gaining valuable experience for the English players than meeting the American and much less the Canadian
