Beginning soon the column will be taken over by my younger brother, Kent. He is a soihomore this year and is look- ir.i forward to bringing you the rrws and hapnenings of Denton Uhh tor the duration of his high school career, however long that may be, Seripusly though, I hope you exhibit the same warm feeling towards him and the column that showed me. This oartkular column is devoted to the class of 1958 of DBS. 1 have written it with the intent of informing you what last year's seniors are doing, and their im- plans.

Ot course during the summer months it has been impossible to contact everyone. However I die 139 students. 1 am sorrs I did not have more time to make a concentrated effort to contacl those students who live out town, or who do not have phones and I extend my apologies to thes; students. Each student was asked five questions: 11) Where are you go- in? to school, if going? (2 What will be your major in school? 3) What have you been doing this summer? (4) Bid you take a vaca- my simply replied, Lonnie Crider: Norlh Texas; business-accounting; been working olf and on farming; asked the same ques- lion Lonnie replied, "Can'l say." Bill Castor: U.S. Coast Guard I Academy; went on a vacation to Kansas and New Mexico before he he reported to school July left Aug.

19 for a training cruise to Bermuda; Bill plans to make a career of the Coast Guard. Edward Cook: North Texas; business; working at the Fine Arts Theatre; went with the Shields to east Texas for a weekend vacation. Barbara Davis: not going; will be working next fall. Jimmy Davis: Norlh Texas: business; went with his mother to Chicago to visit his uncle; while he was there he worked as a copy boy for the "Chicago Tribune." Donella Ellis: North Texas: elementary education; staying home and learning to cook this summer; went to California with parents for a vacation, while there, she visited Marine Land and Disneyland. Noel Douglas: North Texas; business administration working in the North Texas library this summer and going to school; went to Colorado with Pat -Moore and family.

Before I go on here are some fads and figures I thought you might be interested in. These figures are based on the 139 students whom 1 contacted, and not on the Original class of 220.

Eighty-one per cent plan to go to school this fall. Of this percentage, 63 per cent is going to NTSC, 6 per cent to TWU and per cent to other schools over the nation. THE END And so ends the list of last year's seniors, and their plans, and with it ends one of the most rewarding aspects of my high school career, writing this column for Committees, Dates, Places Set For State Meeting Here Committees have been dates have been set and places designated for the first a meeting of the year of the Texas Federated Women's Clubs, Mrs. Ben W. Boyd of Denton, state president, has announced. The board of directors will meet in Denton Sept. 25-26, with Hubbard Hall at TWU as headquarters.

Preliminary meetings will be held Sept. 24 in Mrs. Boyd's home, 2106 Bell. A tea honoring Mrs. Boyd and her board members will be held Sept.

24 in the Woman's Building, says Miss Bessie Shook, City Federation president. The City Federation is to be hostess group for the tea. Mrs. Boyd stresses the that it is not necessary to be a member of the board, or even to be a member of a federated club the sessions. Sirs.
