Insurance Man Dies; Was Donor to U. W. MADISON -OP)- Theodore Herfurth, Madison insurance man and one of the University of Wisconsin's biggest boosters, died at a hospital here yesterday. He was 77. Herfurth, an 1894 graduate, donated the $100 awards given annually to the university senior man and woman showing the most initiative and He set up a similar trust fund to pay S50 awards to the outstanding seniors at the three Madison public high schools.

Herfurth also donated a $10,000 fund in memory of his wife, for scientific and historical research at the university.
