CYG COI SAYS- Convict Flees What Do You Do To Prevent Wife From Wearing Out Clothes In Packing? Of late my readers have been no help at all. I have asked Prison Dump Truck them to advise me on this question or that and I get no response. It is difficult to scold 11 or 12 readers they are increasing! when you don't know where they live or who some of them are. The fugitive, 26-year-old Law rence Cousineau, a dairy work er was convicted Oct. 22 of raping a 10-year-old girl in Duval County, headed a six-man break from the Duval jail at Jacksonville last fall. At the prison farm here, Cousineau had been assigned to a tobacco factory detail which works inside the prison enclosure. Supt.

L. F. Chap man said he expected Cousi neau to head for his home in Charlestown, where he was caught after his Duval County break. WITHOUT A WALL Chapman sa'id the Florida Highway Patrol and sheriffs in nearby counties were notified immediately after Cousineau fled but no reports had been received late yesterday indicating his trail had been picked up. SENSATIONAL in acwiyij must find a way to stop Leda from practicing packing. Her wardrobe has been taken out of the closets, the drawers and the cedar chest, picked over, some garments chosen and some discarded, at least once every- day for the last week. If this continues until we leave her clothes will be worn out from handling. I have tried to bring to her attention that she will know no one on the boat to impress, that she isn't going to be present; ed at the Court of St. James, that we are not going to take part in the social season in Lon don.

I hope she isn't out to catch a fellow in France or elsewhere for that matter. If there is any sure fire recipe or even one you have heard about but not tried that will cure her temporary derange- ment please let me have it but quick! Signed uesperaieu There is one bright spot in all this preparation business. It has sent us both out to iook tor good places and things to eat. Leda has given up the hot bis cuit routine entirely seemingly there is nothing that she wants out of me for the moment. She is cutting all she can on the household budget so Peppe-ridge Farm bread is "out" for the time being.

I haven't been too happy with a continous diet of bread from the corner gro When we found Mrs. Wick's Swedish Pastry Shop tucked behind her house at 612 N. Garland our problem was solved. The Wicks are newcomers to Our Town, having moved here early this year from Los Angles. Swedish born, she came to the U.

S. with her parents when she was 6 years old. Liks many another of her fellow countrymen the family settled in Min-Ne-So-Ta! I haven't found out why Mrs. Wick left her dressmaking job in the Hollywood area but she did. CALL TO BE SURE In order to augment a shrinking income she decided to make use of her ability as a cook, opening a shop behind her home with the blue shutters.

Evidently people like her cooking, as much as does Mr. Wicks or perhaps even more so 'Gator Hunting Change Eyed TALLAHASSEE The State Game and Fish Comm. will consider at its next meeting a recommendation that Florida have an eight-month open season on alligator hunting. Commissioners meeting here yesterday postponed action on the proposaL They said the public should have a chance to express views on the controversial question. The matter will be taken up at the com mission's next meeting in Miami July 19.

Alligators may be hunted at present only from Oct, 1 to Jan. 31. A commission-appoint ed committee of hide hunters, outdoor writers, commission personnel, sportsmen and conservationists recommended a season running from June 1 to Feb. 1. Supporters of the plan say alligators are becoming too bold and have started approaching dangerously close to inhabited areas, frightening children and sometimes killing household pets.

THE MOST our JAPAN TO GET VOLUSIA EGGS WASHINGTON UD Two dozen Rhode Island Red eggs donated by the Volusia County, 4-H Club were presented to the Japanese embassy yesterday for hatching in Japan. It is the hope of the 4-H members that Japanese boys will be able to start several flocks of Rhode Island Reds from the eggs, and develop the strain in that country. 4 Arrangements were made by Sen. Smathers D-Fla. The eggs were presented to the embassy by W.

J. Piatt Volusia County agricultural agent. Repeated by Popular Demand-Last Tinte-A Sellout SPECIAL 2 DAYS ONLY because he doesn't have to pay for it and the business she is enjoying is on a cash and carry basis. She will deliver on Sat urday if there are other orders in the neighborhood. In any event, it might be helpful for people to make use of her tele phone, 8078, before driving by her place to make sure she isn't sold out or the street isnt blocked off.

Some of Mrs. Wicks' customers, who have deep freeze es, keep them stocked with her goodies. For my money her pumpernickle and rye breads are tops, especially at ihe mo dest price of 25 cts. loaf, bhe hasn't been stingy with the rye flour. For my taste, she is a little too liberal with the sweetening agent.

It's the sort of bread that keeps well and has a texture that is most ap petite-teasing. If you insist on health values I am certain that it has all of the vitamins because she uses black strap mo lasses for one of her sweeten- irig agents. She says that her whole wheat flour is really made out of whole "wheat. The taste is there. GOOD FOR A SNACK Leda was entranced with the Wicks' rusks which are thought fully sprinkled with cinnamon.

To my way of thinking the best sweet things are the Berline Krantzer rich cookies sprinkled with pink sugar and the Swedish pastry rolls. Heat the latter for a mid-morning coffee snack or late Sunday brunch, just before church. The Lady-Next-Door went with Leda to pick up rye bread and fell for a cake full of candied cherries, almond and citron that Mrs. Wicks calls a Swedish Stollen. If you want a play on words she charges a $1.25 for it.

The Lady-Next-Door says it is worth every bit of that because it tastes of butter, eggs and lots of rich things that do cost money. I wouldn dare estimate the caloric count per slice. I can think of nothing better for picnic suppers than Mrs. Wicks' bread. If you like sweet stuff she has some that I am sure cannot be surpassed in quality in Our Town.

Don't blame me if you drive by on Garland and she has sold out. Other people have heard about Urda E. Wicks and ihey have taste buds, too. GOOD MORNING. your first solo.

UR The Southern Presbyterian Church's board of Christian education yesterday authorized the appointment of a director of Christian family education. In creating the new post, the board termed promotion of Christian family education one of the great needs in the church today. Dr. Marshall C. Dendy, former Orlandoan and executive secretary, said the board fixed goals for a three-year program called Forward with Christ.

These include a net gain of 50,000 members in Southern Presbyterian Sunday schools each year; 600 new candidates for the ministry and an equal number for church vocations and recruitment of more Presbyterian youths for church-supported colleges. "We wish to avoid divorce and remain happily married all of our lives." That is the laudable aim of all young couples on the wedding day. But many of them start feuding and calling each other vile names within a few months or years. Why? MARRIAGE INSURANCE Partly because they haven't been forewarned about the pitfalls to happy marriage. For it takes brains and hard work, as well as love, to build a happy home that will endure.
