Kepple served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam Era and was a member of the Kane County Bar Association. He was an Attorney in the St. Charles area for 30 years. He also was a member of St.

John Neumann Church. He is survived by his wife, Rita, of 39 years; a daughter, Dr. Julie Kepple of Carmel, IN; three grandchildren, Jessica, Gerard III and Ali; his mother, Jessie Urso of Villa Park. He was a Veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving in WWII, after which he began a career in insurance sales, which he continued until he was 82 years old.

As an active Christian, he was a member of the Deerfield Presbyterian Church. His major interest was his church activities as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, various committees, Breakfast Bible Study, Round Table, the St. Group, and prayer groups, as well as being a member of the Gideons. Rodger was also active in the American Legion in Lake Forest, and in Scouting, serving as Scout Master as well as a Boy Scout District Commissioner in Lake County. He will be remembered by his loving family, many friends and neighbors, as a loyal family member and friend, a sports fan, a creative chef, and a masterful story teller.

Rodger was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, mother, aunts and uncles.
