The couple often picnicked on the beach and took their children and grandchildren on road trips to the Grand Canyon and Colorado. Glausier enjoyed spending time with his children, and grandchildren. "They were the apple of his eye," she said.

"He would get his chemotherapy and be back at work the next day," recalled his daughter, Helen Webb, 38, of Ocoee. He had basic training in Texas, then was stationed at the Eglin Air Force Base in the Florida Panhandle. After eight years, he and his first wife, Joan, and their two children moved to Miami, where he got a job as a mechanic for Pan Am Airlines. But Glausier lost his job af- Guatemala, she moved to Central Flor ida in 1990. She was Roman Catholic.

He took his children to the park, then his grandchildren. "He loved it," his widow, Joyce, said Saturday. "He loved the Christmas parade. Small World was one of his favorites. We rode it every time we went to the Kingdom." Glausier died at his Orlando home, surrounded by his family on Friday after a long struggle with bone cancer.

He was 63. He began his career as a mechanic foreman at Disney shortly after the park opened in 1974. He worked primarily on buses that carted guests to hotels and around the park. Paul la the last of the seven children of James and Agnes Spellman whose home was located on Rosalind Avenue across from Lake Eola. As a youth, Paul helped care for the ponies that his father trained to play in polo matches at Lake Eola. He carried on the paper route all his brothers had worked before him. He attended St. Joseph's Academy (now St.

James School) and Orange County Vocational School and was fascinated with things mechanical. As a young man he built a diving helmet, operated with a tire pump, using a plan he found in a magazine at the library down the block. He operated roofing, heating, and air conditioning businesses and when the missile industry began at Cape Canaveral he founded Spellman Engineering, which handled contracts for work on the At-' las missile leunch pads. When Walt Disney came to town, Paul opted for a less hectic life than that of the missile Industry to become chief Certification Inspector for Reedy Creek Improvement District. For 22 years ha was known tor his integrity in requiring quality control of buildings and amusement attractions at Disney.

In retirement he continued to be vitally interested in the welfare of our country, firing off many letters to various political leaders. He firmly believed In every persons need to vote and, at the last presidential election, from his hospital bed, he insisted that he complete his absentee ballot. Peul was the consummate grandfather, happiest when surrounded by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren at family fiestas. He never met a stranger, was outgoing, friendly and always encouraging others to be the best they could. He loved lite, had an abiding faith in God and was a member of St.

James Cathedral Catholic Community. Paul is survived by his wife of 64 years, Victoria, and three daughters, Betty Ligas, Rose Panico and Elaine Welborn, all of Orlando. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Cathedral on Monday, February 26, 2001 at 10 AM, with visitation at the church from 9-10AM, a reception will follow.
