This price includes this year's crop which' is almost ready to harvest. I'Mr. R. R. Ingels of Berkeley has been placed in charge of this property, ancl it is his intentioh to stock, it with standard bred beef cattle.

The property consists of 100 acres of bottom and 1400 acres of range. The bottom has heretofore-been farmed to small grains but Mr. Ingels, who is a practical farmer states that he will put at least a part of it into alfalfa. Considerable effort and labor were entailed In making delivery on this property owing to the fact that the owners, of which thiare were some nineteen, were scattered in as many different states and it was necessary to obtain de2ds from each of tliem and their wives. "i'he Union Oil Company of Los Angeles and San Francisco has purchased a string of lots in the Percy Addition formerly owned by Sarah Gillespie, N.

J. Beal, Sarah McKlnd- ley, Wm. Oxsprlng and Nellie Percy. They intend to erect an oil and gasoline depot on this property. It Is stated that the plant to be erected will be larger than either of the plants now located here.

Construction is to be started at once and It la expected that the buildings will be completed within 30 days, a rather large force of men being employed In the building ot same. The Fred Eisenhauer ranch located in Potter Valley has been purchased by Mr. A. H. Hogue.

Mr. Hogue has been located In Owens Valley for a number ot years, being in the employ of the Government as a forest ranger. He has a good practical education along agricultural lines and will be a welcome addition to prosperous Potter Valley. The price paid for this property was $3,700. Percy A.

has bought the Joseph R. Hensler 22 acres located at the end ot west Standley street, within the city limits. This property brought Mr. Hands ds enthusiastic over his purchase and states that within the next year he will so beautify this place that it will not be recognizable to the former owners. Jesse Pickle has disposed of his 160 acres in Potter Valley to John F.

Hplser of Coallnga, who intends to go into hog raising on an extensive scale carrying a line of good standard breeds specializing on DUrocs. The price paid tor this property has not been mentioned. S. B. Henry of Arizona has purchased 40 Mexine Popoff, also in.

Potter Valley, for which he paid $3,500. Whilst this property Is farmed in a general way at this time it is the intention ot Mr. Henry to put the entire 40 into pears next season.
