FK1PAY, JANUARY 29, 1871 THE SCREAMING EAGLE PAGEJ WHO 1971 Head Roster Of Who's Who LILY NEUMANN LSy Neumann, a sophomore, has already established herself BS an active student. This year, he was Sophomore a i to the Homecoming Court. On January 15. Miss Neumann was presented as a IXichess Rqyale in the Coronation. She has been a class officer for the past two yeajrs.

Miss Neumann is also a D.J. for Teen Hour and is included as a member of tie Palmetto Staff thos year. Anna Neumann, senior, has Coimipiled a long list of activities and honors over the past four years. She is President of (he National Honor Society, of which she has been a member since her junior year. JEss Neumann has been acting as recording secretary of the Student Council for two years and Historian for the Thespians dub for the past three years.

She is also a member of Merit's Who's Who of American High School Students. Miss Neumann has been a member of the Youth Council for one year. She has taken part in the University Inter-Scholastic League aJ! four years of high school. Sine has been a member of the Quill and Scroll club for the past two jean's. Since her freshman year.

Miss Neumann has been included in the top 5 per cent of BHS students. She won awarded a Science Rotary Sweater during her junior year. This year she was elected at Most Likely to Succeed by the student body. On January 15, she was presented as a Lady i the Coronation. Miss a has aSso been if ANNA NEUMANN Business Manager for the Palmetto for tbe past three years.

Miss Neumann, during her sophmore year, won first place in ready writing in the UIL competition. Anna has always contributed her time and effort in student activities such as the March of Dimes Peanut Sales. Richard Olivarez, a junior, has been a loyal member of the BroH'DSviMe Hsgh School football team throughout his years of attending higih schooL In the year of 1969-1970, when he was a sophrnore, Richard received an Honorable Mention dealing with flhe All-State football team. This year, Richard Olivarez was one of the oniy two boys from Brownsville High School M'ho were appointed to the Vafley All-District team. This came about through his excellent performances on tiie Golden Eagle team where he holds tho i i of center.

This was truly a great honor to be named as a member of this team. After seeing his performances in the past, one can hardly wait to see what Richard Olivarez has ic store for the students of BHS Airing his remaining senior year here. Anna Rodriguez, a junior, has been a cheerleader since her fresSman year. In her sophmore year, sine served as Hie Head Cheerleader of the Junior Varsity Cheerleaders. Anna was also active in the choir during her freshman year.

As a freshman, she was a member of the Student council and took part in its activities. As a sophpiore, she was presented as a Princess a in the 1969-1970 Coronation. Duriiiig her junior year, she has been elected as a senator for the junior dass. Miss Rodriguez was included this year in the Coronation of the Empress of Oriental Elegance, as a Princess Royale again. her high school ytlais so far, Miss i has done a great deal to with aill of the activities Tfiat her ctess has been a part of, grring her time and effort so that her dass couild be a better success than it afeeady is.

JUKE SALDANA Mike SaJdana, a senior, has played on the BHS football teams since he was a freshman. This year, Mike has played as a fullback on the Eagle Varsity football team. He has been a member of the association for the past two years. During the all-district contests. Mike SaMana was a runner up in the all-stale team.

Also Mike Saldana is also a member of the Screaming Eagle JOHNNY OLVEKA Johnny Olvera, a junior, has been involved in al sports events. As a freshman, he began playing oo tine Fresiman football team. a sophmore, he plavcd the postion of halfback. He is a member of the second all-district team. He was a pitcher for the freshman baseball team, and was involved in both the brown basketball team and the track team.

Johnny continued in baseball through his sophmore year. As a a he was president of his class, and during his sophmore year, was elected as dass favorite. Ho is aJso a sports writer for the Screaming Eagie. ABBY RODRIGUEZ AWby Roiguez, a sophmore, started off in higfc school as a freshman cheerleader. Miss Rodriguez has continued as a cheerleader during this year.

As a freshman, Abby was chosen a the Freshman Class Favorite. Miss Rodriguez also serves as a representative to the student council. In tiie meantime, Mass Rodriguez acts as the Parliamentarian for the sophnxre class. In January 15, Miss Abby Rodriguez was presented to tiie Ccurt of Oriental Elegance as a Duchess. EvcrasJiougJi Miss Rodriguez has only been in high school for a short time, she has already proven that she work for lihe welfare of the school.

Yoli Zamora, a junior, 5s very active in girl's sports. Sfoe has been a member of ttie Girl's track team since her sophmore year. Daring this same year, "she won second place in Girl's Track State. As a freshman, i Zaroora served as Historian for the Class of 1972, while in her sophmore year she acted as tie reporter for that class. This year.

Miss Zaroora serves as Vke-President of the Junior class. Oa January 15, Miss Zaimora was presented, as a Lady-in-Waiting in the Coronation of the Empress of Oriental Elegance. Through her past record of service to her class, Miss Zaimora has proved that she is a hard worker and is willing to do her best to support her class in its projects and undertakings. It can truly be said that Yoli does 3 fine job of representing her, dass. WCHAJU) OLJVAREZ ANNA BOWUGUEZ YOU ZAMORA.
