Beatles Rap Cow Palace For Uproar LONDON TJPI Brian Eptein, manager of the Beatles, oday criticized the management of San Francisco's; Cow Palace where a near-riot broke out dur- ng a performance, of the shaggy-haired singing quartet Tuesday night. Epstein, at a news conference held several hours after the Beatles' return from a concert of 10 American cities, slamed the management for insufficient security." The Beatles netted an estimated $1 million from the tour. During the disturbance, which forced the Beatles to cut short the second show, the fans threw rings, pens, flashlights, teddy Dears and jellybeans onto the stage. "They may have underestimated the Beatles' appeal," he said of the managment.

"There is a problem here. Their adulation can be underestimated." The Beatles were met by a screaming mob of some 400 fans on their return here at London Airport. Many of them had waited throughout a chilly night for the plane's arrival The mop-tops, Ringo, George, Paul and John, were whisked from the airport in a private car with a police motorcycle Epstein said during the San Francisco performance harriers were only one foot in front of the stage and that security guards were unevenly distributed. Epstein announced plans for a seven-city tour by the Beatles throughout Britain this autumn. He said they expected to do one- night shows at Glasgow," Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and London.

omPLAZA Fernando Soler Kitty De Hoyos "LA MEMORIAS DE Ml GENERAL" "YO SOY MUY MACHO" Silvia Final Bettina Bares Life With Late Aly Khan By EDDY GILMORE LONDON --Iff)-- Bettina today published an account of her life with the late Aly Khan. "Aly never gave me the things I wanted more than anything else in the world," she said. "He never made me his legal wedded wife. But never once did he fail to treat me as a wife." Aly was killed in a Paris traffic crash in 1960. Bettina whose real name was Simone Bodin now is 40.

Her book is called "Bettina." Commenting on Rita Hayworth, one of Aly Khan's wives, Bettina said their marriage broke up because of Rita's jealously and hankering for independence. Bettina also described how Aly once encouraged a belly dancer's flattery until Rita stormed out of a night club. Bettina said Aly coulud be extremely generous and at the same time.very stingy. She said, for instance, that in their Paris home he owned two sets of bed sheets. Once, when asked what he would like for a gift, Aly hesitated and let the giver make the choice.

But to her, she said, he confided: "If only they'd given me a.pair of underpants (shorts), they'd be so useful." She said he hated buying shirts and suits, but when he did buy a suit, it was either vicuna or cashmere. She said his reading was mostly of the sports page. He liked westerns and horror films and often went to sleep watching them. "He had a distate for anything intellectual," she said. "Aly loved me and I loved him enough," she said, "for all other matters to seem trivial." MJM( HUM.
