Robert Teed Hester of Newport News. The bridegroom is the son of Quentin Dawson of Newport News and 1 Mrs. Ruby H. Blackwell of Hampton. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev.

B. L. Price. The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. Miss Wanda Sue Hester, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Pamela G. Beddard, sister of the bride, Mrs. Tammy N. Jackson, Miss Lucenda A.

Stickles, Miss Jennifer Wisner and Mrs. Michelle Griffin, all of Newport News, and Mrs. Carol M. Staton, sister of the bridegroom of Hampton. Miss Vicky Carter, stepsister of the bride, was flower girl.

Mr. Dawson served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Kenneth Dawson, brother of the bridegroom of Richmond, Kenneth Pate and Ralph Pride of Newport News, Clarence Britt and William Towson of Hampton and Danny Carter, stepbrother of the bride. A reception was held in the church social hall. After a ski trip to the mountains of Virginia, the couple will reside in Seaford. Miss Anna May Canada and David Christopher Hopkins were united in marriage January 8 in a candlelight ceremony at Zion United Methodist Church, Seaford. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Allen V. Canada of Seaford and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Golden D. Allen of Newport News.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald R. Hopkins of Seaford and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.

Harry C. DeAlba of Seaford and Mrs. Guy D. Hopkins and the late Mr. Hopkins of Poquoson.
