Ahrens, assistant professor of Prof. W. Ahrens music at Carroll college, who, according to announcement by the Rev. Earl W. Reichert, minister, has been engaged as director of music at Salem church.

Guest organist for the service is Mrs. R. H- Abel. The Salem choir of 25 voices sings "The Twenty Third Psalm" by Gordon Jacob. In addition to great hymns of the church, the organ music includes "They Shall Dream Dreams" by Blake; "Song of Devotion" by Nolte; and "Consecrated Lord to Thee" by Hadler.

The minister has chosen as his theme for the Communion Meditation, "Spiritual Reconversion." Church of the Nazarene, Crown Point, will be the special speaker for this service. The two Blinn daughters, who were born in Africa while their parents were there as missionaries, will sing the special numbers. 6.30 p. m. Young people's service.

The theme for this service will be "The Discipleship of Love." 7:30 p. m. Evangelistic service. Rev. Blinn will again be the special speaker for this service.

Blinn, pastor of the FWD Vice President Is Dead at Shawano SHAWANO, Wis. (U.P.) Funeral services will be held Monday for Antone Kuckuk, 83, prominent Shawano county industrialist, civic leader and politician, who died Friday night after being ill a year. Born at Slinger, then called Slin- gerville, he came here in 1882. He became a member of the county board in 1893 and was elected to the state assembly in 1907. From 1917 to 192" served as state senator.

Kuckuk was credited with establishment of the state teachers' retirement fund, having served as chairman of the legislative commission which wrote the statute. He was active in the organization of a local hospital and since 1914 hsd been a member of the board of the Four Wheel Drive at Clintonville. He was a vice-president of the firm at the time of his death. (U.P.) --Lawrence B.

France, 19, Wausau high school student was killed early Saturday when the car In which he was returning from a football game went, out of control and overturned 19 miles south of here. The Portage county sheriffs office said the automobile was driven by Lawrence B. Kcpp, 19. Others in the car, all from Wausau, were Virginia Lambrecha and Jo Anne Kollen, both 17, and James Holzschum, 19. AH were injured.

Sheriff's deputies said the accident occurred about 1 a. m. The youths had attended the Stevens Foint-Wausau high school football game here and then drove south to Plainfleld for the remainder of the evening. Saturday Mart Shows Decline NEW Stocks declined irregularly Saturday in the first Saturday trading since last May 18. Trading was at an extremely slow pace, reflecting the Tom holidays.

A number of leaders had losses ranging to more than a point, including such pivotals as Johns- Manville, U. S. Rubber, General Motors, Youngstown Sheet Tube and International Telephone foreign. Most of the selling in the short session was a precautionary measure as holders withdrew from the market pending week-end developments in the political situation aboard as well as on the home front.
