She was born in Clear Spring, of Aurthur and Agnes TewellJD. Gernand of Emmitsburg and George B. Gernand of Thur- Windle. He is survived by daughter, Mrs. Patricia Thompson Tallmadge, Ohio; brother, Lee of Luke, four grandchil dren.

Mrs. C. Weber Gernard Mrs. Celeste Weber Gernand, 1, of Thurmont, died Tuesday at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was born in Balti- nore, a daughter of the late Judolph and Harriet Gernand Veber.

She graduated from Towson Normal School and aught in the Baltimore school system for a number of years before moving to Thurmont. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. J. Dawson Ahalt Arlington, two sons, Arthur Hamilton Hotel, died at the Newton D. Baker VA Center in Martinsburg, W.
