The staff is of excellent quality and well trained and skilled. Few programs can boast of a staff like Hope Haven has. Hope Haven's opportunity to help people in need is a joy and blessing to behold. State Senator Lucas J. De Koster announced today that he will seek the position of floor leader for the Senate Republicans in the next General Assembly. De Koster is a holdover senator serving in his second term in The Iowa Senate, having been elected to that office first in 1964. The position will be open because of the failure of Senator Robert Rigler to run again. Senator Rigler decided not to run because of the press of personal business.

The position was also held previously by Senator David Stanley who resigned from the Senate to run for the office of U. S. Senator against Senator Harold Hughes. De Koster indicated that in seeking the position, he was not pres- iv it it- sing any personal political 1 ambition, but rather felt that the position should be used to attempt to reconcile, insofar as possible, the variety of views hr'' by members of the Republica' 'arty. He believes the job consists principally of passing legislation supporting the Republican platform and a Republican administration.

He further stated that this assumes as he does that Republicans will' continue to hold a majority in theV Senate and that the Republicans will again control the executive branch of state government, New Industry for Rock Rapids Outdoor Butificatipn newest addition to the Rock' Rap' ids business community ls i now in operation.
