Born and raised in Chicago, Patricia Butler met her future husband, William Weldon, when she was a teenager.Be- fore their earned acollege degree from Rosary College and worked for a time as a catalogwriter at Sears, detailing how to be a good shoe salesman, her daughter said. Once their children werein college, Mrs. Weldonreturned to Rosary and earned a degree in business administration.

She then joined Van Bergen an independent manufacturer and rebuilder of starter drives.
