Mary Ford Dies; Singer Hit Top With Les Paul United Press International ARCADIA, Calif. Singer Mary Ford, who with Les Paul topped the records charts in the 1950s, died Friday night in Arcadia Methodist Hospital. Miss Ford, 51, was hospitalized Aug. 8 after an adverse reaction to insulin for diabetes. She went into a coma and never regained consciousness.

The singer and Les Paul, who were married in 1949 and divorced in 1963, recorded such hits as "'How High the Moon," "Vaya Con Dios" and "Mockingbird Hill." Mr. Carr retired from the New York City Transit Authority and was affiliated with Southern Bell here in South Florida for seven years.
