He was born in Chicago on Aug. 12, 1927, oldest son ofWilliam Martin and Mary nee Day, Locke. In1946 Bill graduated from Hartford High School, Hartford, MI. On Jan.

15, 1949 Bill married Evelyn C. Klucznik in Chicago. He retired after 32 years as an Account Executive at Goodyear Tire Rubber Company, serving in Akron, Memphis and the Chicago area. Bill was a Sgt. in theU.S.

Army during WWII. He served as Village Clerk and Volunteer Policeman in Tinley Park, ILand was a member of the Rotary Club and President of the Southside Little League in Des Plaines, IL. Since moving to Michigan he has been a Lake Templene Board Member and has served on the Nottawa Twp. Planning Commission, the St. Clare Pastoral Council and the St.

Clare Building Committee. Bill will always be remembered as a man of family, friends and community service. Surviving Bill are his wife, Evelyn Locke of children, Linda (David) Whitaker of Tinley Park, IL, William Marty (Helen) Locke of Gurnee, IL, Paul Locke of Fox Lake, IL and Judith (Ken) Culver of Dekalb, IL; five grandchildren, William Locke, Kristin Locke, Daerielle Culver, MaryHenkes and Derek Whitaker; brother, F.
