Kepler, 88, of Vernon Hills, passed away March 8, 2005 at Condell. Born July 14, 1916 to Arthur and Mary Kepler in Chicago, IL. Art lived in Chicago until he met his wife Theresa of over 55 years. In 1965 Art took his wife Theresa and daughter Debbie to his dream house on a hill over looking Gages Lake in Wildwood, IL. Oh he was so happy! Art was a member of Waukegan Music Union; he played piano and organ.

We always made the AOIA music convention in Florida. Art was a veteran of World War II. He retired in 1978 from Commerce Clearing House; worked thereover 40 years. Art and his wife did a lot of traveling; he loved to drive. Arthur is survived by his devoted wife Theresa; a special daughter, Deborah (Mike) Davis of Wildwood; and two caring grandsons, Jason and Brandon Davis.

Theboys loved music like their Grandpa did. Arthur is survived by two sisters, Vera (Don) Morris of Wildwood and Betty Happ of Florida. Arthur had three children by a previous marriage. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, March 11, 2005 at Strang Funeral Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Grayslake, IL 60030.

Interment will follow atHighland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. Friends and family may visit on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral chapel. He sold the company in 1960, bought a Hackney pony named Dipsy Doodle and established Knolland Farmin Elburn. In 1965 he moved Knolland to Richmond, where it grew into a highly respected saddle horse farm with more than 50 world champions, including the three-gaited Miss Helen and Gift of Love and the five-gaited Contender. In the early 1970s, he halted the horse operation and established a new home for Knolland in Burlington, where he bred and raised dogs, including Pekingese, beagles and poodles, while continuing as an American Kennel Club judge. is a great loss and the unfortunate thing is that it is an end of an era in this said fellow judge and friend Frank Sabella. are no more people like him who are in the sport just because they love it, not to win.
