Conduct the $925,000 public subscription, campaign for St.

Anthony's Hospital enlargement. 2. Plan for and promote the financing and construction of future hospital and health facilities. 3. Be a continuing foundation that may accept funds for specific or general hospital and health construction and or operation of facilities.

This committee recommends hat this organization be created by a joint effort of the Potter- Randall Citizens Committee and the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. The majority of its management, consisting of its direc- rom among the business and financial people of AmariHo. A minority of its management sho'uld represent hospital operation and medical practice groups. The Committee also strongly urges the continuance of a hos- rital subcommittee within the Citizens Health Council with sufficient of its present membership assure continuity of knowledge and purpose. The committee hould be re-charged with the esponsibility of investigating and lanning Amarillo's future hospital and related health care program.

Its function would be to analyze and formulate specialized mowledge for the consideration of the Plains Medical Foundation, nd some of its members would oubtlessly be members of the foundation's entity. Our successors are specifically urged to give early consideration to these subjects: 1. A continuing study of pending legislation respecting a hos- ital district of appropriate geographical boundary. 2. Make an early and thorough investigation of merits, locations nd financing of a medical center vith determination the facili- ies to be provided therein.

3. Determine the community bligations respecting either the xpansion of Amarillo Osteopathic riospiial or the location elsewhere these facilities. 4.
