1 1 B-4 The Orlando Sentinel, Tuesday, February 27, 1990 Casselberry officer slapped by granny gets another slap By Mary Shanklin The reprimand is the only punishment the town's civil service rules allow under such circumstances, Mayor Andrea Den-nison said. If it happens again, Rick will receive a written reprimand. But the punishment seemed slight to Kramer, who is scheduled to appear in court today on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing justice. "It could have been a little more drastic," the great-great-grandmother said. "He should be made to apologize to me." The apology would be for using the word," as Kramer describes it, when Rick was questioning her grandson on Feb.

Kramer said she "poked" Rick in the shoulder for using the vulgarity, and he arrested her for obstructing justice. While Kramer may want an apology, all she is getting for now is a court date.

She said her attorney will enter a plea of not guilty in court today. "I think I'm right and I'm going to stick with it," she said. Dennison said Monday that Kramer was right to be angered by Rick's use of profanity. But, she said, Kramer was wrong to physically confront the officer. "My concern as an administrator is whether anyone feels they can hit an officer if they disagree with his opinion," Dennison said.

She said Kramer should have filed a formal complaint against the officer. Kramer said the word" was not the only foul language to come out of Rick's mouth. She said that when she was being questioned by him, Rick also called her a name. But Dennison said the city investigation into Rick's conduct found that he did not direct any vulgar expressions toward Kramer. "Ha, I knew he would say that because it was only me and him there," Kramer said in an interview later.

Kramer, whose late husband was a New York City police officer, said she planned to fight to clear herself, even if it means a jury trial. The matriarch said she was not interested in seeking damages, only jus-tice. OF THE SENTINEL STAFF CASSELBERRY A police officer who arrested a granny after she slapped his shoulder received another slap Monday, this tirhe on the wrist. Officer James Rick received a verbal reprimand from Police Chief Frederick McGowan for cursing in front of 84-year-old Meta Kramer, who showed her offense at the foul language, city officials said. 2 Live Crew offers 'adults only' labe Group wants record industry to adopt movie-style ratings By Buddy Nevins 7 bums and put out a clean version of its songs, he said.

"The governor doesn't have a clue. He picked on the wrong people," said Campbell, during a press conference at his Liberty City record warehouse. Campbell, whose stage name is Luke Skyywalker, said he would back an industry-policed rating system for records such as the one now in effect for movies. Campbell said he had hired Bruce Rogow, a Nova Law School professor and constitutional law specialist. "Our First Amendment is in danger," said Campbell.

"They have an absolute right to say or sing what they want," said Rogow. "Still, they are doing everything they can to limit the distribution, which is obviously to their economic detriment. But they have a social conscience." Campbell said the group, which had two previous sexually explict gold albums, would continue to re cord in clean and dirty versions. sl a-; 1 FORT LAUDERDALE NEWS AND SUN-SENTINEL MIAMI The rap group 2 Live Crew, under investigation for distributing records which some people believe are obscene, has offered to place an adults-only warning on its albums. The record covers already state the material is sexually explict.

News of the new move to head off anti-pornography activists came in a letter sent to Florida record stores last week and was made public on Monday. The four-member group already puts out clean and dirty versions of its current album on Skyywalker Records. The dirty version, "As Nasty As They Wanna Be" has sold 1.3 million copies in four months. Bob Martinez asked the state prosecutor last week to determine whether the group and record company violated state obscenity and racketeering laws by distributing the album. Campbell said the group's material, which graphically depicts sex, was no worse than records put out by comedian Eddie Murphy or other music groups. About 25 members of the Guardian Angels took part in the protest Sunday outside Hillsborough Circuit Judge M. William Graybill's home.

The group distributed fliers criticizing the judge's handling of the Sedrick McKinney case. "Even if you're not coming to Lake County, you're "coming to Sumter County perhaps; and I think both counties would benefit" from the economic boom the prison would bring, Lovell told Sledge. Lake County Commissioner C.W. "Chick" Gregg strongly supported the proposed federal prison and said he is disappointed that Lake County won't get it.

"I really liked the State Road 470 site because even if it went across the Lake County line into Sumter, Lake County would still have a lot of people employed there," Gregg said. while the baby was strapped in a child seat in the back of a car. The shooting occurred while a 30-year-old baby sitter was in a housing center to buy crack cocaine. A recent study estimated that delays in landings and takeoffs would cause the airport to lose $88 million in wasted fuel and man-hours by 1995 if the fourth runway is not built. The airport authority is proposing to: Buy land around Mud Lake, just south of the planned runway and part of a larger wetlands system. Wyckoff would not discuss the size or cost of this purchase.
