Food Retailer Speaks Out! 'We're Concerned' "We're Concerned" is not a new sound coming From your Local IGA Food Retailer, but you're going to be hearing it more often in the future. Over 100 IGA Food Stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa have been concerned for a long time. They have said so indirectly with such campaigns as: Red Carpet Service, The Owner's In the Store, We Will Not Be Undersold and others. Now they are saying "We're Concerned." The IGA Food Retailer has changed over the past twenty years. At that time he was concerned about his own future.

Large chain retailers were moving into community after community and thijre were those predicting the end of the independent food retailer. Today we know that isn't true. Independent IGA stares are stranger than ever in small towns and big cities. The reason is basic to the American system. Today the small town IGA store is part of the largest volume buying system in this en- tirepartof the country.

He knows he can compete with any size chain operation because IGA has the volume to gain maximum buying discounts at the factory level. The convenient location and efficiency of the IGA warehouse means lower shipping costs than most other stores can offer. The "Concern" of the owner-ln-the-store continues to mean more local service for his customers. The food customer today recognizes tho advantages of shopping at her local IGA Foodliner. She is no longer concerned about the size of the store.

What today's homcmaker is concerned about is price, value and quality. wherever she shops. Those same shared by your local IGA Food Retailer. He is concerned with meal-planning. how to best feed your family to meet their nutritional needs and still let you keep within the budget.

He is concerned about meat prices, the cost of the number of ounces in a package of macaroni. That's why you can depend on your IGA store more than ever. everyone who works there is and they arc working to solve the problems. You will be getting the services of the now IGA Consumer Affairs Director, meal planning suggestions, free shopping aids and other assistance when you shop at IGA. The Owner-ln-The-Store is Mr.
