The bream are mov- ing close to shore to spawn, especially the and are hitting in shallow water. Look for weeds and structure for bream. Live worms work best for the shellcrackers. Bluegills will hit live worms or crickets. Some lakes yielding Eood catches of bream are Lake Tohopekallga, East ake Tohopekallga, Lake Underhill and the Harris Chain of Lakes.

Fish the Venetian Gardens area of Lake Harris, the lily pads at Lane Park, the lily pads at the south end of Little Lake Harris and the small run between Lake Dora and Lake Beauclalr. Some speckled perch hit along the south shore of Lake Dora in very shallow water. Use live-Missouri minnows for specks. Rat-L-Trap lures are effective for bass when fished along the scattered hydrilla of Lake Griffin. Bass have spawned in many area lakes but contin- ue to spawn in other lakes.

Plastic worms are effective for bass. The red shad is a good color for largemouths. Speckled perch fishing has declined in many lakes, but the specks still are hitting in other lakes. Fish weeds and pads with live minnows. Salt Water: When seas are calm enough to get offshore, fishing has been good off Daytona Beach and Port Canaveral, but it is slow off Stuart.

King mackerel offer a good trolling bet along the Atlantic coast. Troll balao, strip bait or spoons. Cobia are hitting along the offshore wrecks' and reefs on live bait, squid or artificial jigs. Wahoo are frequenting the blue water offshore and hit balao rigs along with some marlin and a few sails, tuna and dolphin. Deep-sea bottom fishing has been good for chicken and mangrove snapper, grouper and assorted bottom fish.

Some tripletails, flounder and cobia are hitting live shrimp and live spots and menhaden around the buoys just outside Port Canaveral. When seas are not too rough, surf fishing is good at Playalinda Beach near TitusvilTe and around the Ocean Pier in Daytona Beach. Whiting, pompano, drum, bluefish and shark. Use cut bait or live shrimp. Flounder are hitting at Ponce Inlet around the jetties.
