PACE TEH BLrnTEVTLLE (ARK.V COURIER KEWS FRIDAY, DECEMBER1, t05( The brilliant evening star is a symbol of many things to many folk. Mariners hail it as a good omen, for it usually forecasts a clear, calm night and smooth sailing. The shepherd tending his flock's on a desolate hillside gratefully notes its appearance in the heavens, for its friendly light offers an intangible tort _ of companionship during his lonely vigil. To many, the star is representative of God's infinite power and wisdom. Just as this star touches hearts in countless different ways, so may the Church bring to those in all walks of life peace and comfort which lead to a happier, more fruitful pattern of life. Let us make the Church our guiding light. We can brighten our lives if we accept the teaching of the Scriptures as guideposts along the pathway to future endeavors. f>]'« CHURCH FOR Book na"rt, r ' T -Proy.rb,"' PriiJ.,."
