The Rev.

R. J. Rogers of Lake Wales, an old friend of the bride's family, and the Nazarene pastor, the Rev. E. D.

Messer, officiated. The wedding service was simple, occasion, acting as best man. Mr. Minor gave his daughter in marriage. Following the home ceremony, the wedding breakfast was held in the Orchid Conservatory of the Governors' Club Hotel.

Members of the wedding party included the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Joslin of Ken-ilworth; Mr. and Mrs. George E. Haskins of Lauderdale, old friends of the Joslin family dating from their own residence on Chicago's Hollywood Legion Auxiliary In Charge Of Birthday Ball Mrs.

William Treadway, nominated for reelection as president of the Hollywood American Legion Auxiliary, and other officers will present a birthday cage to the Hollywood Legion post at midnight tonight as a feature of the 20th' annual Legion anniversary ball at the Country Club building. The ball, open to the public, is to start at 10 p. m. Other Auxiliary nominees for office are: Mrs. Paul Robinson and Mrs.

Lumin J. Beede, vice-x presidents Mrs. Lee Kerschner, historian Mrs. Betty Williams, chaplain, Mrs. Nora Currle and Mrs.

Charles inkle, sergeant at arms. Hollywood Garden Club Delegates To Attend Convention An Informative paper on plant identification, types of flowers, and inflorescence was read by Mrs. H. C. Whiting, program speaker, before the Hollywood Garden Club, meeting Friday with Mrs.

Ernest J. Castle. Mrs. Merrill Hv Nevin, president, presided. The club has submitted the paper by Mrs.

Whiting to newspapers for publication in the near future. Announcement was made of the state convention to be held at the Miami-Biltmore Hotel March 30-31. Mrs. Nevin and Mrs. M.

L. Bellamy will represent the club, and all members were invited to attend. Members also were urged to attend the convention of the State Horticultural Society at the Hollywood Beach Hotel on April 12, including a rose show. Mrs. A.

W. Kellner was appointed by the club to help in the arrangements. It was voted to contribute several books to the Hollywood Public library Garden section. The next meeting will be held Friday morning, April 7, at the home of Mrs. B.

Fr. John O'Looney, nnlted two socially prominent families, that of Mr.

and Mrs. Henry II. Minor of Eatavia, New York and Lauderdale, parents of the bride, and that of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Smith Joslin of Kenil-worth, 111.

Only members of the immediate families witnessed the ceremony which was signalized by its simplicity. It was an all-white wedding, the only color accents being those of the vivid tropical shrubbery and flowers of the garden patio, screened over and an integral part ff the large home situated between so inland canals. The bridal party was grouped before greenery and garden flowers banked against the Southeast corner of the patio, near the fountain. The bride wore, an afternoon dress of white silk jersey with ac-cordian plaited skirt. Her white hat w-as of the pillbox type with a wide drape of silk, and her shoulder corsage of gardenias.

It was a distinctly family grouping, with her sister, Mrs. Robert- M. Haskins, also in white, her corsage of pink camellias, acting as matron-of honor; a younger sister, Miss Sally Minor In full-skirted brocaded organdy of pink and a corsage of white camellias bridesmaid, and her brother Henry II. The former Miss Minor has a wide circle of friends here, having spent winter vacations here with her family and having resided here since her graduation from Duke University this past June. She attended the Ruth Knox School at Cooperstown, N. before entering Duke where she made an outstanding record. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, national women's social fraternity, and served on the executive committee of the chapter during her four years of college.

She was one of 20 freshman chosen for membership in the sophomore honorary society, was active in YWCA work and was on the Dean's list during her Senior year. The bridegroom attended Hamilton College at Clinton, Kew York for two years, and is a member of the social fraternity, Alpha Delta ri of Hamilton. He finished his schooling at the Northwestern University School of Commerce and is at present merchandizing service representative at St. Louis, for the Crowell Publishing Company of New York. He visited here early this winter and is a close friend of Robert Haskins who married the former Jane Minor.

The newly married couple left this afternoon by motor for Kirk-wood, suburb of St. Louis, and will reside at 142 W. Monroe St. there. The mistletoe parasite makes its home on apple, thorn, maple, poplar, locust, and linden trees, and occasionally may be found on oak.

Hollywood Legion Auxiliary To Name President of Unit Mrs. William Treadway, president of the Hollywood American Legion Woman's Auxiliary, confirmed today a report that she has declined to accept nomination for reelection to the office. "The office of president of the Auxiliary will be open for nomination of other candidates at the next meeting of the unit," Mrs.
