Saturday at Joseph Clinsey Guidry LAKE CHARLES Joseph Clinsey Guidry, 62, of Lake Charles died at 12:57 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2009.Mr. Guidry was an altar server in his youth and attended Washington High School in Washington, LA. He then served in Vietnam in the US Air Force, receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal. He retired from Bell South and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He also belonged to the Lake Area Model Railroaders and was past president of the Lake Charles Jayces.

Mr. Guidry attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven and also St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Janet Guidry; and three sons, Chris Guidry and wife Brandy, Michael Shane Guidry, and Jace Guidry and Lauren Bergeron all of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Steven Guidry, Charles Joseph Marshall, and Chasity, Nathan, Dylan, and Laila Guidry; and his mother, Adele Guidry; a brother, Kernel Guidry and wife Christine; three sisters and their husbands, Delores Reviere and Carlton and Gornel Soileau and Dale all of Garland, LA, and Connie Miller and Frank of Albany, LA; father-in-law, Euclide Lognion and wife Gennieve of Lake Charles; sister-inlaw, Debra LaFleur of Sulphur; and brother-in-law, Darrell Lognion of Lake Charles. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Gordy Guidry and a Godchild, Scott Reviere.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. The Rev. Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a scripture service and rosary being held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8 a.m. until 11:15 AM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Guidry's honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501. St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

James J. "Jim" Bonin ARNAUDVILLE A Mass of Burial will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, February 20, 2009, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for James J. "Jim" Bonin, 90, who passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point.

Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Msgr. Bob Angelle will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Cori Lanclos and Kari Madsen.

His great grandchildren will serve as gift bearers. Mr. Bonin was a veteran of World War II having honorably served his country in was inducted on November 28, 1942 and was honorably discharged on May 24, 1946 with an attained rank of Sergeant. During his enlistment he served in the campaigns in France and Germany and was a Prisoner of War from December 19, 1944 until March: 27, 1945. Sergeant Bonin was awarded numerous medals, including, E.A.M.E.

Campaign Medal, with 2 Bronze Battle Stars, the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman's Badge, American Theatre Medal, Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Jim, as he was better known to his family and friends, was a member of the Arnaudville V.F.W. and the N.R.A. He was parishioner of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church where he was a member of the Altar Society.

An avid outdoorsman, Jim enjoyed skeet shooting and hunting. Survivors include his four daughters, Kathleen Breaux, of Arnaudville, Sandra Lanclos and her husband, Larry, of Pecaniere, Frances Stelly, of Woodstock, GA, and Lillian Bonin, of Arnaudville; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Louise Mistrot Bonin; his parents, Voress and Lilly Amy Bonin; and two brothers, Voorhies and Cesaire Bonin; a sister, Zulmae "Mim" Breaux; and a son-inlaw R.H. "Bubba" Breaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m.
