OBITUARY. Nettie, the nine-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Folds, died at 9 o'clock last night, after a two weeks' sickness, of diphtheria. The bereaved parents have the profoundest sympathy of hundreds of friends who will feel deeply with them the loss of their bright-eyed, golden-haired little daughter.

Nettie was taken sick two weeks ao, but no fatal results were appre hended until yesterday, when the disease took a fatal turn and took the little one into eternity. Nettie was just at the age when children become interesting and begin to make friends for their own sakes, and her death is for this reason especially sau. Sob Startling Statements of General Interest. Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes, on being asked when the training of a child should begin, replied, "A hundred years before it is born Are to inier irom mis mat tins generation is responsible tor the condi tion of the race a hundred years trout now? Is this wonderful generation the natural result of the proper diet and medicines ol a hundred years ago It. is conceded in other lands that most of the wonderful discoveri- of the world in this century have come from this country. Our ancestors were ared in log cabins and suffered hardships and trials.

But they lived and emoyed health to a ripe old age. The women of those days would endure hardships without apparent fatigue that would startle t' oe of lhe present age. Whv wai it? One of i be proprietors of the popular remedy known as Warner sate cure has been faithfuily investigating tbt cause, and has called to his aid scien tists as well as medical men, impressing npon them the lact that there cannot be an etlect without a cause. 1 his invent (ration disclosed the fact that in the olden limes simple remedies were ad ministered, compounded herbs "and roots, which were gathered and stored in the iolts hi the log cabins, and sickness came on, these remedies from nature's laboratory were used with the best effects. What were these remedies? What were they need for? After untiring and diligent -earch they have obtained the form las so generally used for various disorders.

Now the question is. how will the olden time preparations affect the peo ple ot this age, who nave been treated under modern medical schools and codes, with poisonous and injurious drugs. This test has been care'nllv pur sued, until they are convinced that the preparations they now call Warner's Log Cabin remedies are what our much abused systems reqmre. Among them is what- is known as Inn f'ahtn a a Asg uiu i piii 1 1 niiu they frankly announce that tbev do not consider the sarsaparilla ol so much value in itself as it is in the combination of the various ingredients which to gether work marvelouslv npon the sys tem. They also have preparations for other diseases, such as Warner's Log I 1 1 tvi 1 1.

Also a Log cabin plaster," wbicb tbey are confident will supplant all others, and a liver pill to be used separately in connection witn oth er remedies. We hope that the public will not be disappointed in these remedies, bnt will reap a oenent irom me investigation and that the proprietors will not be em banrased in their introduction by deal ra trvintr tn imtiritiit rempilieR that hae been bo familiar to the shelves of onr druggists. This line of remedies will be used instead of others.
